One that might is Cult of Personality. That's got a splashy enough hook, and you can sing to it.



No objection to that, either. The "What a Rush" part is the bit that's most important, IMO.

You don’t want to sing the goal song. You want it to echo. How many people know the words to Song 2? What about Zombie Nation outside of the chorus chant?

TBF, I'm a singer. I do want to sing the goal song. I don't necessarily want everyone doing it, down that path lies madness, but I want it to be singable for my own edification.

That said, I grant that it's more important for the goal song to get people hyped than to be singable.

It's a shame this band never really had a real breakthrough. Super talented, but probably shouldn't have called themselves The Music.

From the GDT last night, I am placing this suggestion in a more appropriate thread. I want want this to happen...

The more I think of it I want Korn's "Y'all Want a Single..." with the crowd chanting "Suck that, suck that" as a reply. Or chanting something worse! Imagine the main board response. Imagine the exploding heads in the media. Imagine the eggheads on ESPN discussing the fans of the Flyers and Philadelphia in general. Reprising Santa Claus and the snowballs. A boisterous, raucous crowd exclaiming "Suck that, suck that" when our team is up 7-2. OK, that last part is a slight exaggeration.​

Flyers release list of three finalists for new goal song

Ahead of the new season, the Philadelphia Flyers have a new-look roster, and soon, they'll have a new song to celebrate Flyers goals scored at Wells Fargo Center. After fans submitted more than 4,000 suggestions and nominations, and after the team tried out different goal songs throughout the team's three preseason games, the list has been narrowed down to three finalists. Fans now have a chance to evaluate the finalists as part of the final selection process, which will also include input from Flyers players. Fans can rank the finalists at philadelphiaflyers.com/goalsong. The fan survey deadline is Tuesday, October 12.
