I think from what I am reading and what I could see on TV that maybe it was good for skating fast and bad for puck play.

To be fair, it should be cold.

I think the fact that it was warmer earlier in the day didn't help. We were out shoveling in Tee's at around 11 AM. Went out at 5PM in a sweat shirt and was freezing.

1. Defense needs to clean up those high slot shot attempts
2. Unis looked great in action but with the lights and the look I think matte helmets would’ve been a nice touch
3. Palat lost the “1” off his helmet and was rolling with “8” for most of the third
4. Kudos to Smith, Bas and to a lesser extent Miller for their games
5. Daws not only gobbles up rebounds but he reacts to them and second shots better than we’ve seen this season
6. Nico turning to the crowd to celebrate after his breakaway goal was awesome. We need to see him raise the cup for us.

okay...this is what I hate about these National Broadcasts :

On MSG Devils broadcasts, they would've shown multiple replays of the puck being tipped by Palat.

Here, there was no mention of a tip by Palat or anything regarding his involvement.

It made me think that Palat didn't touch the puck and it's just a clean rebound of a Nico shot that got to Smith.

That's why I was going nuts because there was no clarification except a bit later they basically said "oh btw, that goal is assisted by Nico and Palat. Have a nice day" and that's that.

I truly thought Bratt was robbed for the 2nd time. Stupid national broadcasts.

Watching some of the TV broadcast, I forgot to say last night that I can't believe they put that Messier reference into a video for a Devils-Philly game, even more hilarious that a huge portion of the fans inside the building(everyone under 30) weren't even alive and another good portion were still in diapers still when 94 happened. f*** off with that shit. NHL and ESPN are a bunch of clowns.

Isles-Rangers looks like is going to be delayed by about an hour. I’m kind of glad we got the night game even though it was frigid. I would be pissed having to sit there an extra hour for the game.

I thought it was funny that Smith scored his goal by creeping in deep for the rebound. We’ve crucified him before for pinching too much and allowing odd man rushes as a result.
