GDT: Flyers @ Caps 7pm EST

It's Ovechkin's game puck again. That's the law.

HMs to Lindgren, Mangiapane, and Beauvillier.

Couldn't watch last night, but just catching up on highlights it was nice to see Beau pretty 'central' to two of the goals. Great skating and pass on the Dewey tip, beautiful pass on the Mange goal. And watching the locker room vid, it was nice to see him get the gold chain and recognition.

Also from the locker room vid, Duhaime set a new career high in points. He's been a really underrated addition, seems the boys in the room love him too. WIlson has called him out (in a good way) a number of times.

I don't follow the X verse or other social media for the Caps. Is there a gif or vid showing what happened that Carlson's goal was disallowed? I don't even know what it was called for. Was the puck apparently touched with a Caps glove and therefor the whistle should have been blown to stop the play? If so, let me guess the vid is probably not 100% definitive we touched the puck?

Addition of Beauvillier has stabilized the bottom 2 lines. They both look good.

I like what Carbery is doing with the top two lines. Nothing set in stone. Mixing and matching as needed. Seems to be working.

Team stopped playing after the Carlson no goal. But then again games against Philly always seem to be like this. Just ugly.

Unless there's a view that I don't remember seeing, their 'definitive' evidence was a shot from behind the play. I'm probably biased but didn't see enough to say with certainty that the call should be overturned. It was a crap officiating night all around. Glad we got out with 2.

Refs didn't call twice in the same moment before Beauvillier supposed glove touching the puck, of him getting cross-checked in the back. League said they weren't cracking down on that...If Beauvillier wasn't cross-checked twice that he fell to the ice, then there never would have been the review of him touching the puck with his glove.

It was clearly a hand touch by Beauvy, but then it was also clearly touched first by a Flyer's stick then skate before a Cap touched it, but the review missed that even though it was pretty obvious. Dreadful use of replay.

That's what I saw as well on the replay, or at least the Flyer's skate touched the puck iirc. In any event, even if it wasn't clear that either stick or skate touched the puck, I don't know how there was a good enough view on the replays for the refs to overturn the call on the ice. In other words, you couldn't prove that neither Flyer stick nor skate had touched the puck in that sequence.
