He didn't look good at all. Bad passes bad decisions, slow, stationary. I mean if you have eyes you have seen different Geno after that hit.
After the Geno/Manning scrum, Geno out of the box, split Philly down the middle, drawing a slash from Ghost....was Geno anymore noticeable after that?

If the coaching/mgmt/ownership had a semblance of courage, they would've sat him months ago after he was initially injured. Now we have a 35-40 goal scorer who literally can't shoot the puck because of his injury, gimping it in the playoffs.

AND wouldnt have force fed him the Alternate Captain title. Because...he really doesnt earn that.

That tells me its an injury that wouldnt heal with rest tho. And will probably take 6 months or whatever..or even surgery. So they are delaying until playoffs are over.

He cant even accept a pass cleanly..hes off.

Haha and I have dinner planned with a model for Sunday evening. This game 6 is played at 9pm European time. So fitting. They just have to make it so hard on us.. why? seriously, I am gonna take that dinner.. rather than watching Phil Kessel suck again.

And it's actually going to be nice in Pittsburgh. We have basically had a 6 month winter here so those 60 degree mostly sunny days are gold, but now I have to make sure I'm done everything by 3, fml.
Yeah it's been cold a lot this year. Good news is, in PA, starting sunday it's 60+ just about every day onward.

I don't know what this means. I'm talking about Phil and his "ironman" streak that is nothing but an answer to a trivia question.

If Ruhwedel is the defenseman skating back after Kessel's errant pass, and he plays the entire sequence as poorly as Letang did (losing his man in the corner, not tying him up around the net, not chipping the puck away), is the criticism fair? Or are we just too attached to the handsome French Candadian who makes a flashy play every once in a blue moon to make people forget he's extremely prone to atrocious errors on a frequent basis?

One difference so far..we won last two first rounds in 5 games.

Had this game won after up 2-1..with period about to end. Cant allow that SH goal.

Expect the Pens to destroy flyers 5 on 5..but nuevirth could steal it..and special teams could be difference again. Those are the things to worry about.

ahhahahahahah...f*** thought you meant letang. They should have sat Letang early in the year, let him ease in.

Phil for SURE should have sat a bit, I agree.

So many slightly injured players playing like crap and getting time in games I got confused.

Do we even know for sure that Kessel has an injury? If so, what is it? He's certainly gone long stretches before not playing well. He's the epitome of up and down.

And if that's the case, which I believe it to be, why in the f*** does Sullivan keep him on Malkin's line after Geno takes a humdinger to the leg himself? Essentially you're stuck with one guy who can't shoot, and one guy who can't skate on one line in your top-6. It's ludicrous.

Kessel's struggling mightily too, I don't think a single person is debating that. But what are our options? Sprong? Does anyone realistically think Sprong being slotted into a scoring line role and getting power play time six games into the post season is a scenario that's even remotely possible? Especially with Sully?

If Phil can play, he's going to play. He would have to be incapacitated to sit, and even then, I doubt Sprong is the first guy on the list. As long as Phil has the ability to change the game with one shot--and he does, hobbled or not--he'll be in the lineup, for better or worse.

Just like Letang, whose ailment is that he's just f***ing dumb, not injured. He's playing regardless.

That is the thing. No. All we have is that he took a few hits and falls that looked bad and hobbled him and he proceeded to play terribly.

Philly got so lucky on that last goal. And Crosby scores that goal 10 out of 10 tens. Alot of things had to break right for Philly to barley eek out a win.

The Pens have guaranteed themselves a do or die game. So atleast they have room for error. I don't see Philly winning 3 in a row.

Hornqvist will save the day in game 6 and get us on the board 1st and it will be smooth sailing from there.

Well well well.. Even Phil Kessel is not that bad to make me go for this :D but we are talking about a semifinalist of national Miss competition here.. So yeah, I´m kinda tired of this series lasting so long, so gonna miss my first Pens playoffs game ever, probably. So sad it had to come this far tho, I really wanted idyllic Sunday and now this crap happens.
