Maybe the trick is stop letting Sullivan dictate matchups? I don't even understand how he lets 2 gimps on the same line after Geno was obviously hurt. It doesn't make sense.

IF Horny can play on Sunday . . .

Jake-Sid-Simon
HGR
Sheary-Brass-Horny
Kuhn-Sheahan-Phil

I was thinking just Horny with Hags and Geno, but I think Rust's speed will be more valuable, and I think Sheary-Brass would be better with Horny than they've been with Rust.

Don't forget Geno. Guy was standing around half the time.

Please tell me this is a joke (a) after Geno's injury and (b) given that he and Hags were killing penalties at even strength playing with Phil.

Honestly, this is something Letang might say. It's THAT ******* DUMB.

I don't understand slamming the Pens' effort level. A bad first from what I've heard (I was still at work), but they spent the final 2 periods creating tons of chances.

A sloppy game to be sure, but it wasn't a lack of effort.

Seeing people defend Letang after tonight reminds me of seeing people defend Fleury after he singlehandedly lost us games.

Letang sucked. He's sucked all season, relative to his potential and cap hit. His performance tonight was indefensible--which is ironic considering his play.

I just fundamentally disagree. I don't know. I'd love to go over tape with any of you in detail. I love you and KIRK, I just think you're wrong on this.

You know mental/physical fatigue from the last two runs is a real thing when Sid just looks like he wasn't interested in taking Philly out at home.

And Phil, unless he's truly hurt, was Toronto stereotype Phil. Add a gimpy Geno, and this is the result.

Funny thing is, they played better than Philly did. Flyers had 3 legit scoring chances the entire game but the Pens basically wanted to lose judging by how they played.

And Letang is a dumpster fire that was set ablaze with burning tires. His showing up Murray after the shorty after the season Letang had is typical of a diva who thinks the world of himself. f***. Off.

Sprong with a goal for WBS in game 1..they lose in OT. Keep the goals coming Spronger. Force your way into the lineup

He was actually our best defenseman tonight, ironically. It was the rest of the top four who were uncharacteristically sloppy.

Brutha...tell me...WTF is Letang doing? He attacks the puck carrier early, but poorly. He then gets his stick on the puck, but gives it right back to the Flyers, then what in Jesus' name is he doing going behind the net when TWO other Pens are there, then he decides to stop processing the play at all and get 'stuck' behind the net...and guess who scores, Giroux...from where Letang should have been positioned in the first place.

My god.

I’m betting this is going 7.

All the “experts” talking about how the Pens were a well oiled machine, firing on all cylinders, and the Flyers were a severely overmatched team that was wilting and on the edge of death.

Lo and behold the Pens do what they do best and wilt themselves.

Sid, Geno and Phil invisible.

Letang showing us all once again how ****ing stupid he is.

Murray letting in very savable goals.

Turnovers, turnovers, turnovers, turnovers. Did I mention turnovers?

Failed clears. Failed clears. Failed clears. Did I mention failed clears?

Overpassing, overpassing, overpassing. Did I mention overpassing?

Missing the net, chest sniping, allowing shots to get blocked.

The team just isn’t consistent enough. One game they look unstoppable and the next they look like they don’t have a ****ing clue what they are doing.

Back to Philly with them having all the momentum...

But the experts will say that they Pens still
“dominated” Philly, just didn’t get puck luck...

Pens will be up by 3 by the end of the 1st. Blow out coming. Still outplayed them with Malkin and Kessel being bad. Brassard is due, he looked great.

Not worried about a team with MacDonald and Manning...

Letang waits too long to make a decision with the puck. The end result is a puck into the skates of the defender and ultimately a turnover. He does it every game. Multiple times a game.

Our third line was awesome tonight, Sheary in particular. Crosby was eventually good as well.

Phil was bad, Geno had a few moments of good and a lot of bad in between. Letang was the same for me. That was the problem tonight. Some good, more bad. And the bad seemed to all happen at the same time.

He didn't look good at all. Bad passes bad decisions, slow, stationary. I mean if you have eyes you have seen different Geno after that hit.
