Not mad either & I don't need statement games against crappy teams, but I would like to see these kids front & center.Happy for the win, but it shouldn't have been that hard. Hopefully a statement game tomorrow
100% this. The kids have been taught to be defensively responsible, and not been given prime opportunities to score. Before the Rangers, Kakko was the main guy in every situation. He was on the powerplay, he was the extra man out, everything. With the Rangers, he's like the 5th guy in the pecking order when it comes to forwards. So guess what happens when you don't get those opportunities to score? You don't score. And you don't learn to score, because unlike many people think, the skill to score varies between every league. You need to learn when to take that shot, where the goalies are going for etc. Kakko has never been given that prime learning opportunity.Because this organization cut his nuts off. How are Laf and Kakko supposed to have a killer instinct when they've been castrated by the organization.
I've been saying this for over a year, team is in denial if they think they can win a cup without the kids contributing as finished or near finished products. It should be a priority to make that happen sooner than later. You can win and develop at the same time, its not either or, especially with Shesty, Fox, Panarin, Zibanejad, Kreider and Trochek in the lineup as well, they have a ton of insulation to help these kids move forward.People keep saying everyone is mad. I think mad is the wrong word. Frustrated. This organization should have two goals. Make the playoffs and develop the kids. Both can happen at the same time. Both should happen at the same time. We won’t be a playoff threat if they don’t improve. 11 minutes is unacceptable. Goodrow and Vesey being top 3 in minutes might have helped get us a win in December, but that’s not the recipe for April and beyond. Happy for the win. The TOI from today cannot be a normal occurrence.
To not understand that the goal of the coach is to win is to not understand the game. It's up to Drury to get rid of the coach if he thinks he is hurting the kids. The alarm bells should definitely be tolling loud and clear. GG's ass is not more important than the development of the kids.
I wasn't sweating it. We outplayed them pretty clearly. We've won six straight.Flyers are barely an NHL team and we made it look very difficult , and the kids got no minutes.
Making the playoffs is the one and only ambition this org has.I've been saying this for over a year, team is in denial if they think they can win a cup without the kids contributing as finished or near finished products. No.We win 6-3 with great analytics and everyone's mad
I am talking about now and I have been critical of Gallant. They have won 6 in a row and just beat Vegas, Colorado, NJ, and Toronto. We are not playing shit hockey. Is every game a Picasso? No. They have also left many points on the table earlier in the year but I'm going to enjoy the fact that they are now winning consistently. There are only 8 or 9 teams in the league with more points than the Rangers. They are playing shit hockey. This team is far too deep and talented to have to "find ways to win" against the bottom feeders of the league, which usually they have failed to do. Any coach, including Quinn, could take this squad to the playoffs easily. Even the recent worry that they might miss out is a sign of sub-par coaching.
I'm the first person to look at things critically, as you know, but there's a time and place to be mad.No.

Are you seriously saying that Kakko and Chytil have not done enough to earn more ice time over Kreider, Trocheck, Vesey, Goodrow etc?To not understand that the goal of the coach is to win is to not understand the game. It's up to Drury to get rid of the coach if he thinks he is hurting the kids.
It's up to the kids to make it impossible to not give them more ice time.
Fox did it immediately. Miller has done it.
Laf has most assuredly not done it.
Goodrow and Vesey are playing more than Laf because they are outplaying him and by quite a margin.
Because there's 6 defenseman and 12 forwards. You can't bench half your defense corp in a game... they're forced to play.To not understand that the goal of the coach is to win is to not understand the game. It's up to Drury to get rid of the coach if he thinks he is hurting the kids.

Forget about the win and those 6 wins in a row and being solidly in a playoff position now. The kids got 3 less minutes than they normally do. Where's the outrage? The Rangers deserve credit for their response in this one.
Kreider might have scored and it was inconclusive. Then we get the powerplay and they score.
That could have been a huge momentum swing and it honestly wasn't. We kept right on playing our game.
Well Picasso was into cubism and broken to bits is our playstyle. 2 points yes, 2 points but the team continues to underperform severely. The root issues remain.
Yeah like we've played so well against bottom teams this year too. It was their 6th win in a row and we are complaining because the kids got 3 minutes less ice time than they normally do. Too funny.
I agree. The kids played well. I don't think it was intentional to limit their icetime. It was just weird how the icetime played out. With Zibad and Panarin on the same line, you figure them to get at least 20 minutes, but neither have the past few games. So it's hard to say what's going on as far as icetime.Goodrow leads all forwards. Vesey third. Very very odd game for TOI.
I want this team to win a SC. Being happy about a win with shitty ass performance leads to the f***ing mediocrity, that has plagued this franchise for over 80 years.No.

Wrestling is realGallants tweeks to the lineup seem to keep working. Last couple of games the Trocheck line skated against the Matthews and Hughes line and we’re super effective in doing so. I think Trocheck had the most ice time on those games Of the forwards. Flyers don’t really have a top line after the benching of Hayes, the demotion of Farabee to 3rd line and call up of Bellows. Instead he gave the Zibanejad line the big minutes and they each came away with 2pts.
Im assuming it’s “Chrysler Plant here I come” for Ben Harpur.
#5- Misses the net by 2 feet after jumping into the play. Puck ricochets around the board into resulting in an odd man rush the other way. Van Reimsdyk scores. Later he dumps the puck over the glass. I think he failed to clear on a 3rd play in his own end.
The Kakko hate is off the charts here. I think they got about as much ice time tonight as the 4th line. Same fans that hate Kakko, probably still yell “shoot it” everytime a Ranger touches the puck on the PP. Likely the same people that still listen to KISS and think Wrestling is real. Or maybe their descendants anyway.
6 wins in a row since the board almost imploded calling for a Tank for Bedard. Good stretch of games for the team. Doesn’t matter who was in or out of the lineups. Bottom line is they are finding ways to win games again.
Good to see Trouba get goal tonight. I don’t think he played all that well again, at least he isn’t playing like an $8mil dollar man. With that said, the club needs him to find his Game.
The goal isn't to bench 1st and 2nd overall picks and scratch a top 10 pick and bench another 1st rounder to secure a win in a random game in December against basically a lottery team. If that's this organization's end game goal then we should be fuming. That's how they're acting so rightfully people are annoyed. We want Cups, not perpetual mediocrity.No.
