Yes, that's a typo, lol. I think we were 64 for, 66 against in the 2nd coming into tonight.

We have 64. They may be talking about this month. I think that's all we've got in the 2nd period in March. Which makes sense because this offence has often been painful to watch (until last few games and the ones vs Ottawa) in games at the Bell Centre these past couple months.

Well both his skate were on the blue line when the puck went in the zone. When the puck touch his stick he is inside the zone but if the puck goes in before he enters it's not an offide. Never has been as far as i know.

On the flip side, we've only allowed six 2nd period goals all month, too, because our defense (and goalie, of course) is (are) pretty damn good.

Why is that embarrassing?

The guy is a tireless worker. Based on his work ethic, it doesn't surprise me at all that he would be a very well liked guy in that room and I assume, based on getting the 'C' he's a solid leader too.

He captained the Chicago Wolves to a Calder Cup championship too.

Not a great period but we are usually superb in the 3rd so I'm not panicking. Out of town the Bruins, Leafs and Lightning (a tricky opponent 2 more times this season including Saturday but I'd start Montoya in one of those) are all winning. However, Sens down 2-1. And everyone is hurt for them all of a sudden (Methot, Stone, Karlsson, Burrows, now Smith left tonight).

Should they lose in regulation and we hold on, that lead becomes 6 points and even though they have a game in hand we have the ROW and head-to-head tiebreakers. At that point, they'd need to win their last 6 to get to 103 points and we'd have to go worse than 6 points in our last 5 GP. I doubt that occurs. I bet only 1 more win would get it done after tonight. At 99 points for the Habs, I don't see OTT doing better than 4-2 if they lose tonight.

Their sched isn't too tough (at WPG, at DET, vs DET, vs a NYR team likely resting guys, at NYI easy but in tough at BOS) but their injuries are mounting. Whatever, this terrible playoff system will give us a team with more points than us in the 1st round as a reward for winning our division while they'll possibly draw a Leafs or Bruins team with fewer points than them. Boy they gotta address this idiotic playoff format!
