I highly doubt there's anyone in that room that doesn't respect McKenzie. He works his ass off and is a great penalty killer. I don't see the issue with him as a captain at all. The notion that first line players don't respect or listen to guys on lower lines has no basis in reality. Derek McKenzie has played over 500 NHL games and he hasn't taken a single one of them off. He's the captain of that team because he's a tireless worker. If a "21 year old star" doesn't listen to him, the issue isn't who is named captain of the team, the issue is that "21 year old star" is an *******.

Hmm... you've got me there. If I were to guess based on when we've had the most powerplays, it would be the 2nd period (by period: 67-83-65).

I think he lost some leg strength, busted knee and all. It would make it hard to work legs one would think.
