Wait we have the extra penalty for what? Throton instigated..

Seriously though, Ott can't be a 3rd man in on anything unless you give Thornton "credit" for instigating. And either way, how did one guy earn 2 minutes there and the other 2+10?

In hockey you're more likely to get a misconduct for bad-mouthing a ref than if you actually genuinely target a player with a slash, elbow, shoulder to head, whatever. These guys have paper thin, inflated egos considering their position in the sport

I kinda really miss old-school hockey. Anyone else?

Gonna have to give a time frame, "old-school" if the starting point is now, would the dead puck era of the late 90s early 2000s. And no, I don't miss it.

When is the last time you saw Emelin fight?

Thornton didnt even land a punch anyway, so its the the refs discretion i assume as oppose the a 3rd man in, thats pretty clear.

How many time have we seen a 3rd man not having an instigator against us?

It was a reputation call on Ott pure and simple. Thornton deserved to be ejected too, he was pursuing Emelin the whole game. 3rd period is gonna be a mess if the refs let this go

I don't think he can fight, he has a metal plate in his skull from a fight in Russia I believe.

Or more precisely, he will not fight...ever.
