Don't sign em for $15M would be a good start. Leafs failed signing Matthews and Marner for ~11M a pop when they had DONE NOTHING.

try to trade the players with no heart for some players with heart and grit. Get a few guys who punch back when they get punched

That was a beautiful series by Panthers. Carolina is gonna win them in 6, but I like the way they play hockey. Major plus to Tkachuck and Bob.

He was a complete bust in his time with the Flames. Good for him for finding his game with the Panthers, but who knew he would be such a GARBAGE, DIRTY ASS PLAYER. GO CANES GO.

Keep hearings he’s this dirty player but other than “raining down shots” on McCabe and getting tangled and falling with Knies I don’t hear anything else. He’s relentless, finishes his checks, and is a guy you want in the playoffs.

He’s wasn’t a busy either, the general consensus by Flames fans is that he wasn’t used correctly. Bust? Haven’t heard that anywhere.

I don't know. We are looking at Vegas, Dallas, Florida, and Carolina in the final four. I think Toronto could benefit by learning American style hockey in Atlanta.

I'm unsure about this "will to win" for Matthews, that I've read on Leafs boards. There's literally nothing to enforce that belief. He will take most money, possibly least years to triple dip on the big money, even though his last season is worth maybe $8-9M.

FLA used all their assets last year for several rentals, that's why they couldn't afford to do anything at the TDL.

As a canadian fan I am upset again that the stanley cup is going to a US team once again (Yea, I know that the oilers are still in it…..but I have very little hope)

Matthews is not a playoff performer, completely invisible on both ends of the ice.

No wonder he got along so well with Joe Thornton
