Florida Panthers beat Toronto Maple leafs 4-1, advance to ECF

I was at two of the games in Leafs/Sens series in 2004. I also attended the first game of the Leafs/Bolts series this year. As far as I can recall, I haven't gone to any other playoff games during the past 19 years.

So, from 2004 to 2023, the Leafs are 2-0 in playoff series where I've attended a game. And they're 0-9 in the playoff series where I haven't been to any games.

Clearly, the Leafs should be sending me playoff tickets.

It must be so odd to watch superstars not show up when it matters. I don’t think there’s another team in the league that has the same issue (at least to the same degree).

Yeah I think its going to be an interesting series. I had the cats beating the Bruins, Maybe beating the Leafs. With Carolina I dont have. clue how to score it. I do think the Panthers are bigger and will do a better job of neutralizing the Hurricanes scoring.

This. The Leafs were badly outplayed in all the games v Tampa but one. And Florida beat them bad. But even with this beat down the Leafs should run back the same core. 115 points is damned good.

Yeah he is. A DIRTY POS, GARBAGE PLAYER. So many times he should've been called for a penalty for his dirty ass plays and the refs kept letting him getting away with it. Just like in game 4 when the match was already over he's on top of a Leafs player and raining shots down on him and nothing happens to him.

When he was a Flame I was kinda rooting for him to turn his career around after being such a bust, but now I realize that was a mistake and I hope the Canes destroy him and the Panthers and light them the hell up.

Such a phenomenal way to start the weekend. Hate to see it for Leaf fans but hey you guys win a round!

you're saying that like your core is producing in the playoffs. If you big guns don't produce I don't think getting them role players is the problem.

Lmao. Raining down punches, ok guy. One missed, one glanced off of him and McCabe was throwing from underneath. Happens all the time, he knows his role and does it well.

Such a bust? Yeah that’s what happened.

So what is the plan? Trade them for 70 cents on the dollar and tank like CHI? We don't have our 2025 pick. so we'd have to turn things around in a hurry after getting the 1st OA pick in 2024.
