Watching this D group play, I’m really dissapointed they moved Strohack. I love the potential in Fellinger and you can see Ewles has talent but man does he get caught up ice a lot and make some poor positioning decisions.

Owen Sounds buddy Mike Carins with the call/game management of the season.....
Well, we know he’s a mediocre ref at best. I’d like to see another angle but that looks dangerous and a clear cross-check/boarding from that angle. Mancini slides into the puck first previous to that too so….
Neither team looked particularly good tonight and both are not currently playing up to their potential. Well, except for two of the best goalies for their age in the OHL.

Not the call that was made...the call right before that was not made

The number of times Stojkov has the puck on his stick in the defensive zone with time and space and instead of an outlet pass or cycling it to a teammate he eats it along the boards or skates it into a puck battle and loses possession is insane.

The number of times you're talking nonsense about that kid is even more insane. Your hockey expertise is very questionable, and latest post is prime example how limited is your hockey knowledge. Please, spare us further comments about something you obviously don't know.

Dumbest thing I've read here all season.

All the talk about Kostov being the big piece for Hayes, he's been basically invisible. Pretty disappointed in him with the hype the Soo fans had around him.

What are your thoughts on Stojkov? Is he a top 4 guy on this team? Should he return next year?

Also anyone know how long Bertucci is out for? K. Pitre?

Sorry to hear this. He is still only 17, maybe still trying to figure out where he fits in his new team with a new system?

I get he’s your kid or billet and you feel the need to defend him. I don’t think Jenken or Ewles (until this weekend where he played two solid games) are much better most nights. The difference is they’re both 18. Last night Marko had the puck along the half boards with his D partner alone behind the net. He could have cycled it back to his D partner. He had a forward breaking out between the circles he could have passed to. Not ideal or without risk but the option was there. He could have just dumped it out along the boards. He did none of those. He turned back into the boards and ate the puck with the forward coming down on him. He loses the puck battle and it’s a turnover. When he had two safe and one risky option in front of him. Instead the puck is still in the zone on the oppositions stick. It’s nearly every night. There’s a reason he is the worst +/- D by -10 on the team after 46 games and it isn’t because he’s playing the most minutes or facing the top line. He’s 19 now and on the bottom pairing for a reason. What did you like in his game tonight? Getting beat at the blueline that lead to the SH goal or negating the PP in the 3rd by taking the high-sticking penalty? He’s 19 now and seems to have regressed from last year when I thought he was a solid value add with potential to develop into a solid OA candidate.

Sorry to hear this. He is still only 17, maybe still trying to figure out where he fits in his new team with a new system?
He’s been non-existent. Just no motor and seems to lack any type of speed or first step. I’m dissapointed but not surprised he didn’t even make it onto Central Scouting’s last list.

Pretty rough weekend for Slavicek with the turnover late that lead to Barrie’s GWG then letting Pinelli get behind him and race away for the OT winner during the 3 on 3. I don’t know how some nights Slavicek looks like he’s ready to break loose for an 80 point season with slick moves, speed and a great defensive game the just…..meh. They need him to find some consistency and produce to his capabilities. I did not like Ewles game much at all until this weekend. Two much improved outings from him. If he can play like that and develop, then that eases the loss of Strohack immensely. Great feed by Jenken to Dann and nice shot by Nolan. Was really nice to see the spotlight on Braeden and the crowd reaction to it. Wishing him the best and thankful we got to watch him develop over the last 5 years.

13 pts from 21 home games. Maybe try moving the balance of dates to Iceland…
Yeah that doesn't make much sense when everyone always talks about it being one of the best barns, craziest fans, etc.

There is literally no home ice advantage for the team.

i'd take him back here in a second. to be fair, we draft kids that will specifically fit in the Hounds system. maybe theirs is just too different and he needs some time to adjust.

Somehow, incredibly enough, Dave McParlan is gonna manage to look even stupider than Ted Dent when he spent 8 high end picks on Peer and Mancini and they miss the playoffs. The consolation prize? Will probably be four repeats of last night vs a #1 seed London. Back to back years of total and complete incompetence by the GM that massively set this organization back.
