BLUE - WHITE Game update

Blue wins 10-9.

Kressler was dressed on white and played. K Pitre on Blue not dressed (injury?). N Day also did not dress. Piroski started in goal for White. Looked lost. Only gave up 3 goals in his period. Probably should have been more. No real standouts on either team. Lots of broken up passes, missed passes and 2 on 1 opportunities. Nice to see hockey though.
Well Blue and Whites games aren't known for their shutdown defense so the score isn't really surprising. There have been rumors that the Leafs might send Kressler back to us for an OA year.

Would not surprise me at all. Guryev either. Still, I wouldn’t put MY money on their return to the O this year. A bit surprised Piroski looked lost. He had a strong Jr. B season last year. I was hoping he’d have a strong showing to back up Day and they’d either have 3 capable goalies this year or be able to move one for assets.

I think you might be lost.

It's OK @three dog night , don't listen to @MJ5.
He obviously didn't get the memo that posters from all teams feel bad for the IceDogs posters so they are now welcome to post the scores for all IceDogs' wins this season on every team's forum! :D

13th rounder, wonder if he had some NCAA interest to fall that far

Wawa, ON is a bit remote. The kid likely did not have much opportunity at a young age to show his abilities against GTHL players >12 hrs down the road.

played in the Soo for the AAA greyhound program for the last number of years. maybe 5 or 6 years now.
Definitely better, but not equal. It is the reason northern kids (and Russians) have taken to re-locating

Filling out the D-core with some youngsters. Welcome to the organization Mason and Rylan!
Love the depth now, but really want another guy to play in the top 4. Just feels like they added some bodies to try and make a move for an 04/05.

Bertucci - Smith
Stojkov - ?????

Jenken - D'Arcy - Gee - Strohack Some kind of combination are probably your 5-6, with Fellinger and Taylor mixing in.

Totally agree. It’d be great to just see Guryev return but if not I really think they should go shopping for a veteran/OA D. Jenken was really good at times late in the season and I think Gee will be ready for a regular shift this year. Likely 1 or 2 of the rest spend most of the season in JrB playing on B cards with the occasional call up. Really glad to see so many youngsters sign though and the Firebirds have had some great luck with 13th round picks so….

Don't think so, was also not at training camp this season.

Do you know why? I'm asking because he's with the Quebec Remparts now. I looked about his history with Flint but I found nothing except that they selected him in the 6th round in 2022.

Heading up to Flint in November for the first time. We’ve never been so I am looking for places to stay, things to do, and where to eat. Any help is appreciated as we are excited to make the trip.

I would recommend staying in grand Blanc. only about 10 minutes away from the arena. There are some very nice hotels off Hill Rd. We have a well known brewery with very good beer and good food as well. Bit pricey for the steak but a good meal. Also, have all of the standard chain restaurants on Miller Road as well.

All depends on your preference.

Like Firebirdsfan said, the Hill road area near US 23 and Redwood Lodge is solid area to stay.

If you are looking for a true Flint experience. I'd recommend the Hilton Garden Inn, right in Downtown Flint. If you are coming in on Friday before the Saturday night game, its walking distance to the Flint Farmers market if you wanted to wonder around there Saturday during the day.

Downtown Flint has some great eats.
Soggy Bottom Bar awesome food and cocktails. Best burgers in Flint, don't let anyone here tell you different.
Churchills has great food, and a outstanding selection of bourbons and whiskeys. It's right next store to the hotel.
Sauce is a higher end Italian restaurant located inside the Hilton Garden Inn.
Blackstones has some very solid BBQ.
Cork on Saginaw is a wine bar, with higher end food.
XOLO is a taco house basically, great margaritas and tequila selection.
Flint Farmers market has a bar upstairs as well, with Michigan Spirits, Beer, and Wine, called Market Tap.
