Habs started and finished strong, but the middle was nasty.

Inconsistency and a young rebuilding team kinda go hand in hand, it is what it is unfortunately.

As long as the effort's there, there's not alot we can do, we just have to deal with it.

The Jets beat us with a short burst.
Goals 2 odd minutes apart sparked by a bad Dach penalty in the O zone.
Kept it rolling after that and then stopped playing in the third.
Seen this game before now 0-13-0 when down after 2 periods.

I'm getting real close to losing faith in Dach. The slow start, the gliding instead of skating, and the lack of aggression along the boards are frustrating enough. But these stupid, f***ing selfish penalties? They're on another level. If you can't help the team, can you at least f***ing stop hurting it?

Not on the coach. They played a good team and needed to play an almost perfect game to win. It was a good effort.

I agree that Matheson is overplayed, but who else do you trust to step up when we’re trailing? Hutson’s already logging 20+ minutes, and defensively, he’s had his fair share of f***ups. Barron? Not much better. The rest? Offensively useless. What other option is there?

No I'm pretty sure Marty asked them to take stupid penalties. They were just following orders and should take no personal responsibilty for their actions.
