The Jets beat us with a short burst.
Goals 2 odd minutes apart sparked by a bad Dach penalty in the O zone.
Kept it rolling after that and then stopped playing in the third.
Seen this game before now 0-13-0 when down after 2 periods.

Just curious. What did the coaches do wrong tonight? We were right in it against a better team and I liked the adjustments they made with the D. We actually outscored them 5 on 5.
Will we have a similar celebration when Newhook makes his first assist this season!?! Maybe even an announcement by Michel Lacroix?

Another not unexpected good effort that has become the norm in the past 6 weeks. despite what the echo chamber have been trying to insinuate.
This roster is young and full of holes, but the effort has been there. Individualistic mistakes aside.

Hard fought 3rd. Penalties killed them. Montembeault played well. Matheson f***ed up the 6 on 5 situation. Not really surprising.
I'm not too disappointed. Team forced Helleybuck to make some good saves. Congratulations to Hutson on his 1st NHL goal. Laine was shooting tonight. He wanted one. Crowd was into it & there was even a Go Habs Go chant as they were trying to tie it.
The next 4 games before Xmas break are all winnable ones. We're home to Buffalo, have a home & home series with Detroit & we play @ Columbus on the 23rd.
Primeau is going to have to play one game against Detroit. I'd give him the Montreal game Saturday night. Montembeault gets 2 days off now before the Buffalo game. He'd get another 2 days off before playing in Detroit then another 2 days before playing @ Columbus. Otherwise it's 2, 3 & 1 rest days. 2, 2 & 2 seems better.

Slaf can't just hang off to the side of the net all the time.
He needs to slide out to screen goaltenders on occasion when our three lads up top are in control.
Send him some Kreider film or even Monahan film when he played that spot those guys switch it up.
All three of Suzuki Hutson and Laine are good at getting pucks through use it.
If Slaf can't do this simple thing replace him with Heineman and ask him to do it.
