Call sucks but it’s hard to complain when power plays were split even at 2 a piece. We needed a kill and Hellebucyk was way too deep and small on that shot

In fairness, I don’t think PLD gets out on for the 6-on-5 no matter how hot of a game he played. Guy doesn’t know the other players well enough yet.

Just some thoughts:
- booloo is a poor player. I think we'll all remember him for exactly what he was. Bone-headed.
- dubois will remind us what a physical skilled center is like. Chef is all finesse to a detrimental point.
- We always do poorly in these late games it feels like.
- faceoffs were horrid. As I fear, our two supposedly top Centremen, who are career -50% players at the dot, would not do us any favours. That doesn't bode well. I always hoped Chef would improve but he didn't really. Hopefully Dubois does. We were not good at it tonight.

Garbage job by the refs calling that after letting that cross check go.

I didn't think the Jets played all that badly tonight and deserved at least a point.

That was Beau's last game that he was required to play to hit the expansion draft games limit, get him out of the lineup the guy is awful.

Other then Beau I thought the defense played fairly well tonight.

Forwards showed some nice things but got too fancy at times but there is a lot to work with.

Dubois with a solid debut and flashed a great combination of speed, physicality, vision and hands.

Coaching I think is gonna be the reason we don't go far.

Dump n chase 6 on 5. It's just... Yeah bush league reffing but FFS..

Same old problems still exist for this team.

PP sucks. PK sucks. 6 on 5 play sucks. Always relying on the vets even when they are struggling. Connor Wheeler Stastny all sucked tonight and were all out 6 on 5. Whatever happened to rewarding the players who actually showed up.

Helleys complete inability to stop deflections bites us. Markstrom was the difference and a dumb penalty

His complete inability to stop deflections from within three feet out, a tragic Achilles heel that has plagued every goalie in existence. Also, his complete inability to cure COVID during the intermission also bit us.

The ones on the ice don't seem to know each other either, same trash cycle every time that gets easily broken up and cleared. Maurice should know who the liabilities are by now.

Some thoughts:

-Calgary literally got every single bounce. Their first goal was complete luck.

-I know everyone hates Beaulieu but that’s on the refs. Lewis hauled down, Morrissey blatantly and viciously cross checked and no call but then you call a high stick like that? Johnny Regular Season Hockey should’ve at least gone to the box for embellishment. Absolute bush league stuff.

-Hellebuyck was pretty solid

-PLD was invisible in the first but once he got his motor running I liked what I saw. Big, fast, physical and strong and good playmaker. Once he gets some chemistry with our guys, it’ll be good night Irene ...

-Pionk and Forbort were horrible today. Especially defensively.

-Wheeler seems to do better with less ice time. I also liked Vesalainen’s game but Stastny was meh.

-Ehlers is magic. So lucky to have him.

-Can we win some face-offs? Seems like we’re always chasing the puck

-Team took the third period off and it bit them in the ass

-Not a bad effort though considering they were likely rusty, were jipped of a point

I thought overall the Jets played hard....tough to lose that one late. The Morrissey -Beaulieu pairing needs repair...as in Beaulieu needs to go to the press box. Get Josh back on his natural side.

Nice time to play Ottawa.

I miss Ralph from Saint James and Marshall from SoCal already.

That's a penalty. Beaulieu is dumb and should not be a regular.

As long as it actually touched him. With Gaudreau I'll reserve judgment until I see the replay. And not that you can't also add embellishment for offsetting minors, especially when you are A. dealing with a known diver and B. you've let far worse shit go all period.

Having said that, Beaulieu needs a seat.
