GDT: Flames vs Devils 7:00 PM EST MSGSN2

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server

When I say Vezina votes, I'm talking 4th-6th place votes. Not finalist/top-3 votes. Calder votes? I think you can argue top-3 Calder votes for sure.

He's also a 23 year old rookie and his goalie partner on the same team has DREADFUL numbers in comparison.
Yea, sure, that's why I only addressed the Vezina piece of your post. You also said "not sure" about Vezina finalist...point is, yes, you are actually sure he isn't one lol. He tops out at 3rd for Calder best case.

Hopefully Wolf is hitting the wall. Last game for him wasn’t so great.
That's why I thought Vladar would be back in, especially after winning last game against the Rangers.

Good to know that Pierre McGuire looking guy knows what goalie to play tonight. Hopefully Keefe does on Monday if Markstrom isn't good again tonight.

I wouldn't give him a third place vote, but I could see somebody giving him one. Do the GM's still vote on the Vezina? Maybe his own GM.

Hellebuyck is probably running away with it, with Vasilevskiy likely the runner up. Right now I think third is probably going to Kuemper or Thompson?

Speaking of Kuemper, the disparity in numbers between Kuemper and Rittich are even more ridiculous than the Wolf/Vladar differential.

Although nothing in the league is as stupid as the Daccord/Grubauer differential among goalie teammates.

Literally WHY?

Also, need a big rebound/revenge game from Markstrom. He loses tonight in a stinker performance and you virtually have to go to Allen for most of the games down the stretch

after what lomberg did to Bastian, you gotta put him up there. Dont want him taking out another player for 6-8 weeks. Cant afford to skate out of this game with any other injuries

I guess after a two day rest Keefe feels he can afford to run some guys out there a little more to cover for the 5 minutes of ice time MacDermid is going to get.

If Markstrom is healthy he likely wants to go against his former team, hopefully that gets him to dial in. We want a working tandem this time of season, and Markstrom has earned a little leeway in getting his game back up from his previous play.
It’s March. Stuff like playing against your old team shouldn’t matter anymore. He’s been .833 sv pct.% since coming back from injury so it is having an effect. The have a comfortably lead, but it isn’t enough to play around with. Go with the hot hand IMO. If they can extend their lead then you can start working him in more. But not until you’re at that point (they aren’t).

Ah it feels like it's been forever that I've got to a watch a game in the comfort of my own home.

This will be interesting. I feel like this game can go literally any direction. Blow them out, get blown out, close, low scoring, wide open, high scoring. I have no idea
