It would be such Calgary move to suddenly switch to trying to get into the playoffs after a couple of wins to start the year…

Couturier
Copp
Hayes or Glass
Dvorak
Different levels of centers with different values but ones that should be available right now
A few more will probably be available closer to the deadline
The only way this is remotely true is if it's the ask in any calls we're getting on Kadri or Andersson.
Seravalli is a f***ing hack
I used to try. I still do, but I used to, too.
Toronto seems pretty set at goalie tbh. And is likely looking for a center upgrade themselves, per TSN. Don’t think Tavares is going anywhere.Hmm... Let's say there's truth in that rumor. What if Calgary says they'll take on cap dump type contracts but only for a middle 6 C?
Are there teams that might be desperate for some cap space for a TDL deal with an expiring middle 6 C?
I'm almost thinking Toronto with Tavares, but that makes no sense unless the goalie Treliving can snag is one hell of a big fish and they're also looking to retool their middle 6 for speed or something.
Other than that, probably just due diligence on buried RFA? Trying to get a head start in understanding Florida's situation with Bennett after this season?
Why wouldn't it be true. Conroys been saying thats what he wants for two years. The only way this is remotely true is if it's the ask in any calls we're getting on Kadri or Andersson.

Wonder if Calgary could take advantage of one of the teams sputtering who have plenty of pressure on them to make the playoffs, on a trade that immediately improves the other team while getting a high potential player back. Something around a Kadri+ for a pinto or Cozens, or Andersson 50% retained, Backlund++ or Coleman++.
Teams like Ottawa or Buffalo (or a Utah or Minnesota who are currently good and want to stay there) get a huge boost towards being playoff caliber team and developing a winning culture, while Calgary gets immediately younger with potential. The type of trade that HFboards HATE pretty much.
People keep hearing Conroy say he’s retooling then getting SHOCKED when Conroy makes moves signaling a re-tool. More at 11.Why wouldn't it be true. Conroys been saying thats what he wants for two years.
Not sure what people are freaking out about. We have zero center prospects, two older centers, a 28 year old rookie 4C, and Pospisil with 4 games experience as center. There's no chance Pospisil plays 80 games with how he plays.
Of course hes looking for a center.
Over and over he's been saying the same thing and people just refuse to believe him haha. He's been remarkably consistent. Hasn't made a single move outside of the logic hes been saying.People keep hearing Conroy say he’s retooling then getting SHOCKED when Conroy makes moves signaling a re-tool. More at 11.
Almost every single trade Calgary has made returns a player aged 22-26, with the two exceptions being rookie or second year players. Of course he’s looking to add an age 22-26 centre.
