Different levels of centers with different values but ones that should be available right now

A few more will probably be available closer to the deadline

Cap can't stop them either. Lots of space.

So taking a full cap hit can be easy for them this season. Maybe find a high cap hit player and get them for a low cost because that team needs space?

Who knows.

"Hey Buffalo, we might be interested in someone like Krebs for centre depth and replace Schwindt in the AHL. What's your ask?"

Rumor: "Flames trying to trade for centre"

Edit: he says middle 6 C in vid? 🫤

The only way this is remotely true is if it's the ask in any calls we're getting on Kadri or Andersson.

Seravalli is a f***ing hack

Good for them, love a good underdog story.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see them kick the tires on either Connor McMichael or Hendrix Lapierre. Both somewhat redundant players for the Caps caught in a bit of a logjam at C this season.

Hmm... Let's say there's truth in that rumor. What if Calgary says they'll take on cap dump type contracts but only for a middle 6 C?

Are there teams that might be desperate for some cap space for a TDL deal with an expiring middle 6 C?

I'm almost thinking Toronto with Tavares, but that makes no sense unless the goalie Treliving can snag is one hell of a big fish and they're also looking to retool their middle 6 for speed or something.

Other than that, probably just due diligence on buried RFA? Trying to get a head start in understanding Florida's situation with Bennett after this season?

Wonder if Calgary could take advantage of one of the teams sputtering who have plenty of pressure on them to make the playoffs, on a trade that immediately improves the other team while getting a high potential player back. Something around a Kadri+ for a pinto or Cozens, or Andersson 50% retained, Backlund++ or Coleman++.

Teams like Ottawa or Buffalo (or a Utah or Minnesota who are currently good and want to stay there) get a huge boost towards being playoff caliber team and developing a winning culture, while Calgary gets immediately younger with potential. The type of trade that HFboards HATE pretty much.

Toronto seems pretty set at goalie tbh. And is likely looking for a center upgrade themselves, per TSN. Don’t think Tavares is going anywhere.

Why wouldn't it be true. Conroys been saying thats what he wants for two years.

Not sure what people are freaking out about. We have zero center prospects, two older centers, a 28 year old rookie 4C, and Pospisil with 4 games experience as center. There's no chance Pospisil plays 80 games with how he plays.

Of course hes looking for a center.

I could see that. But it'd have to be crazy and the stars would have to align in an insane way for such a trade to make sense IMO.

People keep hearing Conroy say he’s retooling then getting SHOCKED when Conroy makes moves signaling a re-tool. More at 11.

Almost every single trade Calgary has made returns a player aged 22-26, with the two exceptions being rookie or second year players. Of course he’s looking to add an age 22-26 centre.

Over and over he's been saying the same thing and people just refuse to believe him haha. He's been remarkably consistent. Hasn't made a single move outside of the logic hes been saying.

If he can get a young RFA that he thinks has potential without sacrificing future assets he 100% will do it. Hes been looking for that trade since he got in.

Oh no, Wolf is legit, Bahl is a top 4 defender, Pospisil and Zary look great. Huberdeau is finding chemistry. People are acting like these are bad things because they want a 7th overall pick. If all those things are true and its enough for Andersson to re-sign. f*** it, I'll take Florida's first rounder happily.

Buffalo isnt trading Cozens for a 30+ C. Buffslo isnt retaining eith er r

Nobody is doing that.

Cslgary best bet is for a team with a mid 6 vet center with 3 yrd left on a contract in a team th sd t I'd having problems in early december around 20 g mark
