You're right. It might get the wheels turning. If anything, it shows that some GM's are not afraid to make deals now, whereas before they were apparently wanting to "wait and see" what they had in their respective rosters.

Mike Keane, Peter Forsberg, Adam Foote, Stephen Yelle, Scott Parker, Dale Hunter (sorta if you count Quebec days) and as Av-merican said Serge Aubin.

Yes he was...they also gave Curtis Leschyshyn a one-year contract in 2009 but he retired just prior to opening night.

As a fan of the team, I want them to get the best return no matter what. As a fan of Ryan I want this to happen quickly, he belongs in the NHL.

All Ryan needs to do is sign the offer sitting on the table in front of him and prove he's worth what Duchene is getting paid.
