"Here comes Trouba".

I will say this... WPG isn't my favorite trade partner, but a Siemens - Trouba pairing would be insane... Still don't know who is suppose to be EJ's partner going forward, as either of those two are not going to be at that level for a couple years.

EJ,Barrie,Elliot,Siemens,Trouba,Wilson. that sounds damn good to me.

I think Winnipeg may be out considering they could be in our division next year, but what's the opinion on Burmistrov? He's still young and real strong defensively, but I worry rushing him to the NHL stunted his offensive growth. Still, he'd be an intriguing guy to acquire.

I like Burmistrov. Hard to predict what he will end up as but he's good defensively and a hard worker which I guess lessens the risk of him as a player. Even if he doesn't pan out, he'd be able to play a role in the NHL.

I think O'Reilly is worth significantly more.

They could be...but I think the Avs would be more concerned with getting back a package that they're happy with, rather than worrying about where he plays.

PL and Co. have shown no hesitation in the past when dealing with Conference/Division foes. (Calgary, Phoenix)

I can just imagine RoR sitting at home looking at this and say:
"7th thread? Don't they all have a life?" :sarcasm:

I agree and I wasn't thinking straight up.

We know what teams have been scouting the Avs. Any idea what teams the Avs have been following around?

I know they were at a Sens/Leafs game earlier this season but haven't seen anything since then.

With how secretive the Avs are, their scouts are probably in disguise so half the time the reporters don't even know they're at a game.

Rangers down to .500.

Sherman, call Sather and say "I'm here for you, baby".

They might hesitate this time. O'Reilly will probably play in the NHL for another 15 years or so and no one knows what kind of potential he has. They wouldn't want him to kill them for years to come.

So I went through the old ROR Thread and compiled this info for us to talk about tonight, if we want to.

We know it's all just speculation on our part, but for this road trip the Avs are on, quite a number of Eastern Conference teams have been at Avs games, thus far here's what we know (in terms of Scouts at recent games)

2/23/13 vs LA

@DennisTFP: Press row scouts in LA for east division teams: CAR PHI WPG NYR†this is important.

2/24/13 vs Anaheim

Scouts from the following teams are at the Avs/Ducks game:

Rangers, Sabres, Hurricanes, Philly, Tampa Bay, Montreal, Boston and Winnipeg.

So we can see that through the first 2 games of the Avs' recent road trip that Carolina, Philadelphia and Winnipeg were at each of the games. Again, not that it's a sign that something is coming, but I found it interesting nonetheless...especially since all the teams that were doing the Scouting were from the Eastern Conference, and as we know, the Eastern teams won't be playing the Western teams this year.

This makes me wonder. Isn't it fun for a reporter to work with a secretive organization? I mean, Dater just has to say, ''Ohh, no way to see that coming since they are so secretive.'' Meanwhile he sits on his rear and writes articles about what could happen in a fictional world.
I think if our reporters were pestering a lil more, maybe we'd have more info.

You're forgetting that PL is so egotistical that he thinks if he makes a conference trade, he's 100% always getting the best end of the deal and that it will be Winnipeg who suffers.
