GDT: Flames @ Panthers: the return of Lomberg / Calgary 1 PM matinee and Euro primetime

Not disagreeing, just stating how it is.

If he is as hurt as implied, he should strictly be 4th-line ES and getting most of his minutes PKing. The fact Backs is still on the PP and getting non-insignificant ES minutes is gross misuse. This team can't afford an even further nuertered offense than they already have.

This teams doesn't lack effort but lacks talent everywhere on the ice outside of goalie. I imagine most fans knew this already but these last two games have shown that clearly.

Flames are so offensively challenged.

Might as well have not gotten off the plane or bus today. No show except for Vladar.

Team has been limp dick all year. They went through a 20 games stretch without a 4 goal effort. 3 goals a game is the norm in the league today; for the flames, it’s a Herculean outcome. It isn’t 2004 anymore; a team that is barely going to crack 200 goals scored in a season isn’t a playoff team. I thought the additions would help, but they clearly haven’t.

Sell at the deadline (which really means just Rasmus) and get that top 10 pick. This team is going nowhere this year. Start transitioning to Zary-Kadri-Frost being your top 9 centres full time.

Didn't see the game but from what I heard on the radio Vladar played well. Hopefully there were scouts from other teams watching the game and looking for a backup goalie.
 
Hopefully our management is realistic and the big name guys (Andersson, Weegar, Kadri) are back on the table. This team just isn’t good enough to compete. Not even close. Time to take a step back for a few years to get some legit talent for Wolf
