GDT: Flames @ Panthers: the return of Lomberg / Calgary 1 PM matinee and Euro primetime

They keep saying “retool” publicly, but I would hope the discussion are a little more earnest behind closed doors.

Beaten soundly by a much better team. That's not the defending Cup champs over there by accident. They didn't even have Tkachuk in and kicked our ass up and down the ice. As funny as it would be to make the playoffs for the lolz I could definitely see a stealth post all star break tank coming on. Wouldn't be the first time, and let's be honest probably won't be the last. It'd be a waste of 8 days anyway to take on Winnipeg or Vegas.

On the positive note what a game from Dan Vladar, if there's some callers for him then I'd still be moving on but if not or it's just a real shitty pick then maybe they explore bringing him back.

Defo take 2nd or 3rd while he is hot. Check his historic stats, it ain't coincidence BUT even I can say, he has been solid lately. Cakey not flakey!
