They looked pretty much disinterested. Really reminded me of the last couple seasons. Losing every puck battle, not completing any passes, poor special teams; just super lax play. The difference is the goalie made a few big saves.

I think “disinterested” is pretty harsh.

They played a Calgary team that has lost like a million in a row or something…so obviously Calgary was going to be playing like a very desperate team.

Add in the west coast trip/jet lag/time change. We knew this was going to be a difficult one

This was a game that VV basically stole for us.

I know that's weird to say since we scored 3 goals but it definitely looked that way.

Blackwood would've let in 2 softies and we would've lost 4-2 or 4-3.

I don't think they were disinterested, but it did look like that at times the last several seasons and tonight reminded me of that. Circumstances probably played a bigger role tonight than anything, I agree.

Isles have been the highest 3rd period scoring team in the league. Isles have adapted the 2021-22 Rangers strategy of saying f*** defense and going all in on offense and goaltending. It's a strategy that works when you have a Shesterkin or Sorokin.
