Post-Game Talk: Flame Broiled

Drury is going to extract the teeth this summer. No GM is coming here to do that dirty job. Dolan could very likely off him after that but I haven’t minded the heavy hand with these pampered vets. And I like the culture that’s been build in Hartford among the rookies.
We have 1 potential top prospect in Gabe and a bunch of bottom 6 players in Hartford. We need more top end talent in this organization. We aren't exactly overflowing with can't miss prospects

I used to post on the Rangers board on the team's page and there was an Islanders troll that went by GutlessRangers. And that's all I can think of today and this season. Absolutely gutless team. Say what you want about their skill but you cannot tell me that the team that played the Leafs (WITHOUT f***ING FOX!!!) and played against the Oilers yesterday was giving the same effort this game. I know we lost against the Leafs and Oilers but those games were watchable and you could have some pride in this team. This was an absolutely shameful performance. GutlessRangers indeed.
What skill are people even talking about when they clown NYR for being this pansy ass team that won’t do what it takes. It’s literally just Fox and Panarin who are amazing and then a pile of mid

still waiting to hear the team rank in AAV of the 6 players who finished the game. im pretty sure it's the 1-6 clean sweep.

how you could watch the quality of hockey Chris Kreider has played this year - the listless, purposeless, disorganized and disrespectful brand of hockey this once proud and true blue Ranger has played - and think that he deserves to be out there at such an important moment, over Cuylle, who is literally everything you'd want out of a middle 6 wing on a playoff team in this league, is just not computing for me. @NickyFotiu youre the guy who defends the coach no matter what - make it make sense please? Isn't this a game we absolutely have to win? Do the dividends you're potentially paid down the line with a confident Kreider who thinks he has his head coach's trust mitigate the potential risk of the essential possession of the game dying, as so many other critical and non-critical possessions have, on his stick (the possibility that was exactly the result)?

it's the repeated patterns of deployment by Rangers coaching staffs over the years that makes me really believe that Stutzle on this team is a 55 point winger - max - and Lafreniere on the Sens is a 90 point star. It makes me want to blame them, not him.

Then I watch Coronato and Zary cut through our "defensive structure" like an Aussie Shepherd through traffic cones and it's just such a shit sandwich the useless player 13 is. Complete nothingburger. He should be taking over games. Instead he whimpers on the bench. Disaster.

Since as a fan i have no other recourse but to blather into the Abyssal database of HF:

You f***ing suck, Alexis. Im not looking forward to watching you loaf on Garden ice and scupper my team's efforts for however long until you're ignominiously shipped off to wherever to play out your career as a laughingstock. f*** you, man.

Hadn’t intended on coming back but since HF decided to reset I took it as a sign… amazing how it seems to feel like takes I have get roasted and then a few weeks later become the standard take from the fan base. Fairly consistent result. At this point? It feels like you have to root for wins so we draft above 13 because we aren’t drafting below 8ish, in a weak draft, and there’s no guarantee we are finishing better next year so I’d rather give up our pick this year. We’ve completely f***ing stepped in it. The literal best outcome for us is to finish 19th out of 32 teams, give Pittsburgh a mediocre 1st in a shallow draft and hope for drastic off season changes. The ineptitude is wild.

Missed (most of) y’all.

Unlikable, untalented team. Sick of hearing about effort when the players just plain suck. And our fearless leader JT hasn't scored in 8 games.

Maybe you're sick of hearing about effort but you can't tell me the team played anywhere near as hard as when they respected the other team in the Oilers. That game they lost because of a lack of talent. This game they couldn't be bothered.

I'll still hold steadfast on passing judgement on our young core because of this disastrous season.

I would rather them not touched until a new look of coaching and minus an old core vet or two. I truly think we got something there with our kids, but they're all currently sucked into the abyss. Some real changes are needed.

It's a filthy mess of a season and tonight's game is probably a perfect representation of it.
