Post-Game Talk: Flame Broiled

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server

There are about ten guys I keep:

Fox, Schneider, Miller x2, Panarin, Shesterkin, Cuylle, Rempe, Trocheck, Laf

Everybody else and I mean everybody else, can go!
I’d happily keep Carrick and Borgen (assuming they are playing in appropriate roles).

I’d take out Laf, he’s turned back into the Laf we all know too well. Starting to think the trade rumors and upcoming contract negotiation were his real motivations for last years performance.

Would also look to move Fox before the rest of the league realizes he isn’t a top 5 D. Still view him as a good to very good D, but no where near the elite rep he’s garnered.

Keep tanking for bottom 13. Imagine rooting for them to make the playoffs when you know they would get swept in 4 vs any playoff team.

Root for a overhaul in the offseason. That starts by missing the playoffs and keeping a good draft pick.

Igor the only player worth a damn. The rest of them sucked shit.
And this is why it's silly for people to blast Igor and defend fox. Igor has a bad night and this team has no chance. The team needs him or quick to be above average or elite to have a chance to win. Meanwhile fox continues to decline and people keep making excuses for him. Newsflash is that even when fox wasn't playing well the team could and did win games over the years bc of Igor. Igor is just fried from the pressure of needing to be perfect. Henke went through this as well. He would talk about how much pressure he put on himself knowing the team could only score a couple goals a game and that if he gave up 1 or 2 he knew the team was in serious trouble. It's the same situation now and it is insane that this team is as bad defensively as it is. It's unacceptable. Housley should be canned as the sacrificial lamb already and then just relieve lavy at the end of the year. It's unwatchable

I still don't understand trading for Parmesean, a guy we apparently wanted - who plays center, and then not playing him at center....
I mean the guy was a throw in for two UFA’s so like, clearly Colorado didn’t think that highly of him….

But the Rangers won’t know what they have on him with Lavi as the coach. so until that changes I’m not expecting much

There are slightly more pressing problems and things to focus on than some nebulous draft pick due 15 months and a whole ass other season from now. Stop.

Drury is going to extract the teeth this summer. No GM is coming here to do that dirty job. Dolan could very likely off him after that but I haven’t minded the heavy hand with these pampered vets. And I like the culture that’s been build in Hartford among the rookies.
