Confirmed Trade: [FLA/VGK] Akira Schmid for 2028 3rd round pick

  • If you are having issues logging in, we have found opening the log in page in a new tab/window rather than using the pop out should resolve these issues. We are working to get this resolved and thank you for patience.
  • Xenforo Cloud is upgrading us to version 2.3.11 on Monday July 20, 2026 at 12:00 AM PST. Expect a temporary downtime during this process. More info here
  • Due to the increased volume of league transactions, the Trade Rumors and Free Agent Talk section is temporarily restricted to where threads may only be started by moderators and sponsors. We anticipate that this restriction will be lifted some time after the first round of the draft.
and why should Hill be the better trade than Schmid?View attachment 1262637
In what world is using a sample size of a maximum of 34 games ever a good idea?

I personally don't care either way and even personally like Schmid better, but that seems like a very poor way to argue (I mean so is not quoting the person so no one knows who you are arguing with).... this is probably the better way to go...

Oh right, that's the reason for the bad faith argument...

This isn't it, I have a VERY hard time believing this is it

I am starting to think they don't know what they are doing. Seems their only plan is to acquire players who have a reputation of being tough or dirty regardless of hockey ability while ignoring their D and goaltending situation.

Same suspects, thread after thread. You clearly can recognize them.

Do better.
same people stiring things up in thread after thread, isn't that clear trolling? Maybe talk to your mod buddies because I'm pretty sure that's against site rules.

Who has a better chance of knowing what they are doing?

The team that won 2 of teh last 3 stanley cups, or the team run by a computer nerd, that walked on his last team after helping deal the hand that saw them move to another city?

Same. I've said for a while that I think their contention window is closed and the injuries last year kind of obscured that.

what's the cap hit of Aiden Hill (6.25 p.a. until 2031?) we can discuss sample size etc. but if you really think that would have been the better option for FLA then let's agree to disagree

no one even brought them up until you did. stop thinking about your favorite team the leafs

why is it acceptable for posters to go into threads about other teams moves and.. let's say stir the pot... but not okay for them to clap back? Seems like a pretty wild double standard... maybe don't go into threads of rival teams and post things to stir the pot?

Are you claiming @Buckley and @HockeyVirus aren't Leafs fans, or that they aren't in every Florida thread here on the mains, deriding every move, and predicting future failures.

Either way, you are wrong. Inconvenient truth, is still the truth.

Do better.

what do you mean? like someone say something about my team first? I had no intention of coming in here and bringing my team up but sure like always someone has to bring them up.

I actually think this was a good move, I like Schmid. not sure he is starter potential but I dont think FLA is finished. potential to be one though
