Canucks nation hates Benning cause he’s only hit on 4 out of 6 first round picks, while his predecessors only got 2 bona fide NHL players out of the previous 10 first rounders.
No, that's not it at all. What a completely oblivious take. Canucks "nation" hates Benning because he's probably the worst asset manager in the league and his incompetence is rewarded.

As for the trade, Juulsen is an RHD so I guess he makes the team with Harmonic getting waived? Hope Juolevi performs well in Florida but man his skating and inability to pivot is awful

He did trade away the last two first round picks. I guess technically you can't miss on a pick of you never take it?

If Juulsen is in the Canucks top 6 they've got serious problems. And this is from a guy who wanted to see him do well.

Have you seen this defense? It's a disaster. Myers, Poolman, and... Schenn? Harmonic debacle has messed things up but at the end of the day, it's the fact Myers is paid $6 million to play at the level of a 3rd pairing defensemen. Worst right side in the NHL.

Schenn is miles better than Juulsen atm.

Zito playing the league like he's playing EA Chel 21.
Love to see the big moves, definitely cheering for the Panthers in the East.

I dont think Juolevi qualifies as a big move. It'll be interesting to see what he makes of this fresh start.

Juulsen hasn't gotten a lot of nhl games because he needs to get a ton more ahl games to get his game back first. He missed so much of his post draft developmental years. You stick him in the ahl for a year or two and hope he can turn it around and gain confidence. Aside from the Panthers' top 6, Kevin Connauton, Matt Kiersted, John Ludvig, and Chase Priskie were all ahead of him. And arguably Max Gildon.

Well yeah, pretty much what i said. 46 games of professional hockey in 3 years is not enough.

is the unifying idea behind this trade that both Florida and Vancouver MUST have someone that's last name starts with "ju" in the system?

almost feels too bizarre to be a coincidence

Not bad trade for Vancouver. One of those under the radar trades where they get a player--while not flashy but good(not talking about Juulsen)

At this point, it's better than anything Juolevi offered. No offense to the kid, injuries have really crippled his development, but he just isn't projecting to be anything more than a 6-7th D.

Not a fan of this trade for Vancouver... Stay at home dmen don't typically stand out till tgier 24-25+. Seems like it was done cause of waivers.
Juolevi also has had injuries which have stunted gis development curve. Schenn is a great comparison for his floor potential.
