Very good player and a good deal. Barkov is not quite a top-5 Centre(he's maybe 7th or 8th) so 10M is an appropriate dollar amount for him. And it's good for Florida, having him locked up for 8 years.

Zito is a wizard. Last off-season people were talking about whether Barkov would sign with a team that was struggling to ice a competitive team due to Bobs contract and losing Dadanov and Hoffman.

One off-season later and Barkov is signed at a discount, along with having one of the best teams on paper. Dude is a stud.

8 x 10 is very solid if he keeps his level of play at around 1.1-1.2 ppg and is a defensive beast like he is. Locked up long term and on a decent cap hit.

He is worth 10 million easily. Not to mention there are multiple players making 10 or more who have never had 100 points. Never mind consistently.
