...so, besides the six I mentioned...and the two that the original poster already mentioned...right, so besides those eight, Florida has THE BESTEST two defencemen on any conten-...oh, and besides the fact that Jones was mediocre at best in Chicago, so no one really knows how this'll work out now that he's on a better team but also 30 years old and hasn't shown really anything in years...so...yeah, besides all that...uhhh...no, not really... :biglaugh:

its not crazy, its addition by subtraction, yes you get penalized but he is blocking kids time to develop and well, he really is not so good... delighted with the trade, I would expect Mrzak to be sold soon...

...I'm a Habs fan, I want Calgary to finish JUST out of the Playoffs because the Habs have their 1st...I just call out bad officiating when I see it...you still blind??... :biglaugh:

meh, OEL at his peak was way better then Jones, for me I am not suprised OEL has done so well for so long, he thinks the game better than most...

can't say the same for Seth...

Also for Schmidt, Mikkola, no one thought much of Monty when we got him or Forsling.

I’m skeptical, but his ANALytics are decent on a bad team.

I have not watched Jones play enough to make a judgement but when I did see him this year (3 times) he seemed to be all over the place putting himself in bad situations. All be it Chicago is not good so maybe he was trying to hard. Time will tell

He is very physically gifted and has a low hockey IQ and his competitiveness in Chicago was mostly terrible or at best inconsistent. I think he can be a damn good player for Florida if he wants to, which will be easier for him. He was worthless here, or worse at many times. A part of the problem with the team.
 
I think Jones will do well for Florida. He was a bad fit for the Hawks in the Bowman era signing. Didn’t sign up for a rebuild and did his best with not much. Now he was blocking youth D that will need NHL time. And the retain will help Panthers and Hawks won’t notice it until maybe year 5 at best.

What a trade for the Panthers. I haven't completely given up on Knight so I can see the upside for Chicago, but Seth Jones is a f***ing good player. To get him at 75%...wow. Great job by Florida here. Jones is a #1 caliber d-man.

They won a cup unlike you the last 30 years lmao. Reinbacher is terrible and won’t even have a career. Right on the cusp lmao.

Kind of unfortunate for Knight that he signed a relatively big contract during a period of time the Panthers become a cup contender, make the finals twice and he ends up not being part of a single playoff game even as a backup. Probably hard not to feel like you’re a bit of an outsider.

Interesting to see what he can do with a fresh start.
