Can teams just terminate contracts for players being charged with a crime? Seems like they would have to be found guilty first.
I think it's all a moot point anyway - as long as the accused players are staying away from the teams and not signed beyond this season, I think teams just let the rest of their contracts play out.
Galchenyuk did, I believe kane and Richards did tooCan teams just terminate contracts for players being charged with a crime? Seems like they would have to be found guilty first.

they did and that video was crazy! It was out on social media and everyone could see it so he was gone! In this case, no one has yet to be accused or charged of anything. And it could take a long time till any charges are laid and then go to court (if it ever does). I'd like to think this will be wrapped up soon but I have my doubts.I believe Arizona terminated Galchenyuk's contract over 'material breach' after he was only arrested
E. Kane did eventually win a settlement and still got paid (or is) by the Shark's.Galchenyuk did, I believe kane and Richards did too
What? In Belleville?Alex Formenton was always kinda suspicious in this whole allegation. He scores almost 20 goals and 60 points doesn’t get signed by an NHL team? Yeah that’s suspicious.
Sorry, was looking at the wrong column but my point still stands. Young promising forward doesn’t get signed by an nhl teamWhat? In Belleville?
the guy is getting pts and pms confusedWhat? In Belleville?
I figured, it happens, been there myself. Still had to point it out.Sorry, was looking at the wrong column but my point still stands. Young promising forward doesn’t get signed by an nhl team
100%the guy is getting pts and pms confused
HE got 18 goals in the 21/22 season
30 point player in the NHL, couldn't even get close to a point per game in the SWISS league. That probably has something to do with it.Alex Formenton was always kinda suspicious in this whole allegation. He scores almost 20 goals and 60 points doesn’t get signed by an NHL team? Police generally don’t have enough evidence to charge innocent people. In fact, they usually don’t have enough evidence to charge guilty people as well.
I’m sure the lawyers and players will throw money at her and offer her a bunch of money to drop the charges because their lawyers will tell her it’s in her best interest to keep herself anonymous and have it go away as fast as possible.
like I said for 18 months on the trade board we talked about WHY he had not been signed or traded. Now this may edge into a category the bosses here do not want to talk about. But, for all 32 teams my questions is. When did they know and what did they know?I figured, it happens, been there myself. Still had to point it out.
100%
Valid point though, there was no reason (outside of this particular one) that pointed to him not signing an NHL deal.
The slush fund paid her. I think hockey Canada may find themselves facing chargesPolice generally don’t have enough evidence to charge innocent people. In fact, they usually don’t have enough evidence to charge guilty people as well.

I’m not sure how it works in Canada, but it’s not up to the victim to drop criminal charges.Police generally don’t have enough evidence to charge innocent people. In fact, they usually don’t have enough evidence to charge guilty people as well.

Corey Perry says it can happen for even less than being charged in a criminal matter. Can teams just terminate contracts for players being charged with a crime? Seems like they would have to be found guilty first.

I want to know who the scumbag older well dressed man was buying everyone drinks and kept telling her to "take care of him" was. That one needs his testicles removed, regardless of what comes out in the court case. What a sleazy dirt bag he is.like I said for 18 months on the trade board we talked about WHY he had not been signed or traded. It will be interesting to see when the other "four" walk into the police station-- how many of them signed contracts over the past 18 months or so. and before you cheat and look--I think a few of them did.
But why was this one singled out to not only not get a contract from the sens but no other team wanted to trade for him? that 18 goals season he looked good
