They are a mess defensively. Blaming the goalie for not being great, okay sure, yet unless they start to improve their coverage they are going to always need a goalie to play great for them to win.

They've relied on goal tending for way too long, it's masked much of their defensive issues. The good or bad news, a full team effort can help them become better defensively, yet it has to be imparted on them by coaching.

Nothing is going to fix their lack of 5on5 scoring, they don't have the horses and it's not just bad luck.

I lost count as to how many times they were basically pylons puck-watching, chose to not finish a hit, made a blind 1% pass, etc.

That's not a coaching problem. That's a will problem. They're back to acting/playing like petulant children.

Let’s talk about the whole season so far. Isles play a defensive game. Rangers team defense is atrocious. Isles protect their goalies from high danger chances. Rangers allow anyone to just waltz in.

Not even sure we have team defense...more like, come back and occupy the zone and hope Igor gets a whistle.

You just lost last game while having a 2 goal lead on an opponent who was on the second night of a back to back and you come out and do the exact same thing the next game. That’s pathetic.

That non call that led to their 4th goal after a bullshit call gave them the PP to tie it were both terrible but that’s not a good enough excuse. This game should’ve been a win. This team thought they had it wrapped up and took their foot off the gas. Gifted the Islanders a goal 14 seconds into the third. Wtf. Atrocious performance.

Igor hasn’t been good enough. Trouba has been terrible. Mika is borderline useless 5v5. PK has been brutal. Not good enough all around.

Idk what needs to happen but something needs to happen inside the room. Seems like the majority of the issues are mental.

I think the biggest issue is Drury. By far. BY FAR.
