Permission to make a (likely bad) joke about Maatsen's fee in relation to PSR swaps after he just got burned there?

Anyone out there who wants to argue that Arsenal suffer less from the loss of Saka and their other attacking players than Liverpool suffer from the loss of Joe Gomez? Anyone?
Sucks we had to lose a game just to prove a point to Savant
Arsenal still created enough xG to (at least get a point) today. They probably still get at least a point if Skelly doesn’t get sent off, which again has nothing to do with Saka. This has not compelled me to think otherwise.

Of all the bad takes you've ever made, idk why you're choosing to die on the sword over this one. It literally makes zero sense.

I'm not watching, I just flipped on the clip which did not show me Raya's positioning. I'll take your word for it.
Yeah, I think it's clear and obvious error with how far Raya is out.

Villa have settled themselves nicely for the time being. There was a 5-10 minute stretch which included conceding that they were getting torn to shreds.

I will say that it the messaging on it is better if Arsenal didn’t lose today, but again, not having Saka isn’t why they dropped points today. It’s because they again couldn’t finish with eleven men on the pitch.

LFC have been hemorrhaging goals (and points in the table) because their D is injury prone and overplayed, and they don’t have their best defensive closure to sub into games late. Until today, Arsenal had not lost without Saka. They haven’t burned anyone (besides Havertz who had nothing to do with with) else out, and it hasn’t negatively impacted them in table. That’s it. Some people think I am trying to say Saka is bad; which is not the case. What I’m saying is LFC lost one of their best defensive solutions and have rarely been keeping clean sheets since; leading to dropped points. That’s it. Well, and that LFC should have bought a CB in January

Would’ve been really good to get a second there, Enzo played that almost perfectly.

Villa have settled in very well, and will definitely be fully adjusted in the second.

I feel like half of Enzo’s career Chelsea goals are against Villa, he relishes playing Dibu

WHAT IS WITH THESE CLEARANCES

This argument may make the tiniest bit of sense if Arsenal wasn't down 1-0 before MLS got sent off 73 mins into the game. It makes absolutely zero sense (maybe even negative sense) to suggest that Saka being out isn't a big deal when we started a front three of Trossard - Merino - Nwaneri. In case you are not aware, that's our backup LW, a CM, and a 17 year old midfielder playing across our attack. And our "best" option to bring on as a sub was Sterling, which I'll admit may not be entirely true only because I could make a strong case for a less than 100% healthy Ben White being a better attacker than Sterling right now.

Acting like Joe Gomez is more important to Liverpool's defensive depth because they like to bring him on late to close out games would be like if I had said us losing Rob Holding was worse than you guys losing Salah.

Come on man. They are clearly more f***ed than we are.

At the time, I was more upset about some imaginary extra time than any foul in the play. It likely was a foul on Konate, but still poor play. A number of situations in that match were poor officiating, the dive before the goal for one, but Liverpool played like shit. When you do that you get what you get. I didn’t moan after.

Anyone saying Arsenal wouldn’t struggle without Saka is stupid. Though I would argue they’re much more of a one trick pony than they should be. Salah is obviously Liverpools best player, and they would not be where they are without him, but I think if Gakpo was fit (and arguably Diaz looks a bit off it) I think they would scrape by better at times. I don’t want to have to do it, but I think it could be done.

All this won’t matter if Liverpool go shit the bed at City, which they are likely to do.

Tell me you didnt watch the game without telling me you didnt watch the game

I think Jussi is also one of those guys who believes they can overturn the entire squad. That is not happening.
Not in one window for sure. Amorim is going to have to make do with some of it. I think that’s the scary part of this. Dude wants a completely new squad to work, but there’s not money for it unless they do some financial questionable things. Especially not since it seems they owe 300 million in player payments. So the results he’s getting might be the results they see for a bit. Can they do that for another season while they clear off what he can’t do anything with?

Nope and he's gonna be sacked by January.
