The environmentally friendly Liam Greentree
Just chuckling cuz this is so damn true. Gonna keep saying it, Worst thing to happen to Liam...being drafted by the Kings best thing to happen to Liam getting claimed off waivers. Lol.He will get a nice tour of Ontario during camp. Hope he likes it. He will be there for a while after another year in Windsor.
I wonder if these kids know the world of pain the Kings will inflict on their careers when they get drafted here.
And despite the team being bad, I believe only four guys in the entire CHL scored more points than Greentree and were first year draft eligible or younger. Three went before him (Parekh, Catton, Parascak) and the fourth was McKenan, who is probably going first in 26Normally I don't like selecting prospects with skating issues in the 1st round but Greentree is an exception. The top end speed looks fine. The issues with acceleration are more fixable IMO.
I think his production was somewhat held back by playing on such a poor team. Still very impressive for 17 year old.
I like the pick.
We have a pretty good record picking guys with skating issues in that they are good at improving that part of a players game. They are good at identifying what the issues are and if they can be fixed/improved.Normally I don't like selecting prospects with skating issues in the 1st round but Greentree is an exception. The top end speed looks fine. The issues with acceleration are more fixable IMO.

With Turcotte ?I want to see him and Ziemmer on a line together in the future.
