Lets ensure the top 4 is bottom 1/4 of the league offensively for an eternity

I cant wait for Roy to ensure a goal against every game. The way he just stands on the ice alone unbothered near the crease while the puck casually goes by his stick while his brain is so slow to the point he doesn't even move his stick to close the lane OR the other patented Matt Roy defensive special. While an offenseman is literally dry humping the goalie and he's just standing their watching like a cuck until the guy jams the loose puck in.

Truly a great Dman. I am so glad we're gonna have this overrated moron be blocking another spot on the team.

I guarantee an NMC too.

The deadline for the Kings is when they make the exact wrong moves to kill the roster going fwd.. thus the deadline... for this past season it was not moving Roy. #disasterclass

You forgot to mention that he coughs the puck up for fun with a truck load of giveaways, nearly all in his own zone.

Oh you'd better believe Roy is getting signed for 6-8 years and Spence getting traded with Kaliyev for pennies on the dollar for both

Hell toss in our 1st while you're at it, maybe we can get luke glendening to play with lewis
And you know they’re still gonna find a way to start Clarke in Ontario even with those moves.

The proof is in the pudding with BLuc. Those of us against it from the start have been joined by most everyone else because the record is now long enough to be reviewed and all excuses of "what is he supposed to do" because of the mess he inherited are gone.

It is so great that Rosen is burning them. This also is just more fuel on the fire for Hoven being a shill because he doesn't want to bite the hand that feeds.

Jon rosen the only guy worth reading re the kings.
head cheese wont allow critical thinking/thesis

So fans who are downloading a podcast and setting aside an hour or more to listen to the Director of Player Development or the Director of Amateur Scouting talk, would rather know their favorite CHL or NCAA arenas to visit more than why the team has such an unorthodox player development philosophy? I know plenty of casual Kings fans back home, I would venture to say most of them have no idea who Mark Yannetti is, and only know Glen Murray as a player from two decades ago. Are casual fans really going through the trouble of listening to these guys talk when there are so many other podcasts to listen to?
I can tell you this, I am TRYING to listen to this current interview with Yannetti and the buddy buddy shit is incredibly grating. It's not even hockey related. This is content for nobody.

Wishing the best for Akil, hopefully he, Turcotte, and Clarke all play for the big club for the full season - which is a pipe dream, but needed. It is beyond frustrating that these kids are all stunted and forced down because management believes they are in tight contention competing for a cup as if icing these kids are a risk or detriment to our chances. Just mind-boggling.

Yup, totally unprofessional. My favorite media professor would spin in his grave if he listened to that interview. He desperately wants to be buddy-buddy and one of the boys. That's why when the blatant lies about "we slow-cooked everybody" and "we've been doing it this way since Dean was here" are completely passed over, Hoven knows the Kings didn't develop this way under Dean. He knows about Doughty, Kopitar, Johnson, Clifford, Simmonds, Moller, etc. But he chooses not just to say nothing, but to push those lies in an attempt to defend the boys. And hey, there's nothing wrong with casual interview pods like Spittin Chiclets or Bussin with the Boys; I think many people (myself included) love those things. The problem is Hoven continues to call himself a journalist with objectivity and gets furious when people label him an organizational mouthpiece, even though he continues to do things over and over that make it easy for people to come to that conclusion.

Rosen said in his piece about the Turcotte override that three sources in the organization told him that Blake went against the scouts to take Turcotte over Zegras and was possibly influenced by Tony Granato. Yet this piece of information has never been discussed either in writing or on KOTP, not even in response to what Rosen wrote in April 2023 (correct me if I'm wrong). I think we all acknowledge that Hoven has well-placed sources in the organization, so presumably, if Rosen got it from three sources, Hoven also heard it, yet never mentioned it.

Three scenarios:

1. Rosen is outright lying.

2. None of Hoven's sources ever told him.

3. Hoven was told the same and decided to not mention it (because it makes Blake look terrible).

Gee, which one is the most likely?

But hey, guys, it's terribly unfair and unreasonable to suggest that Hoven is the organizational mouthpiece or to call him mean names like Pravda.

I used to spar a lot with the former member and HF legend Ron, but man was Ron spot on about Hoven. The "Crossing Guard" nickname and the avatar. Ron apparently knew right away when someone was a fake. I wish he had been there when I met my ex-wife.

If Matt Roy comes back, are we are one Fiala trade away from @Sol pulling a tomd? 🤣

So they hate to play right-shots together, and they would have two solid veteran right shots in front of him, sure looks great for Clarke. He will spend the next two years on 3rd pair with some pylon, getting the final 30 second scraps on the PP after 1:30 of 37 year old Kopitar passing it to 35 year old Doughty and he shoots wide. This while similarly drafted players are taking ownership of up and coming teams.

Roy IS a very good defenseman, but the Kings need to diversify the style of play from their blueline. Too many similar players at the moment and both Spence and Clarke offer solutions to their problems.

You thank him, then move on.
Agreed , but unfortunately this management team thinks they are real close and dare I say disillusional, so it looks like they will keeping running it back hoping for different results.

Not being able to do exactly this has been a huge problem for this team for a long time.

And agreed on Clarke, he is an added element they just don't have. There isn't enough talent in this lineup to keep Clarke out of it a key role.

Clarke should have been handled by the Kings exactly the same way all these other young high-end d-man have been handled. But you know, they are smartest men in the room, everyone else is doing it wrong.

He can be both worth the money and someone the Kings shouldn’t pay. The projected salaries for him are about right for what he provides, but that doesn’t mean the Kings should give it to him when they can plug Clarke in.
True...His original take was to let him walk. Then he replied to his own tweet with: he's worth the money... kind of an odd combo of tweets but maybe he is worth that money and term. I dont feel that way about him at all. And for sure he's a bad fit given there are 2 cost controlled RD ready for big minutes and a stay at home LD signed for another season.. It makes no sense to extend Roy given the gaping holes in goal and elsewhere (like 3LD)

If this is true they have to be going back to the chevy logo

They cant get away from their initial copy of the Raiders colors when they were cool in the 90s.. totally unoriginal.. get back to the forum colors
