I can tell you this, I am TRYING to listen to this current interview with Yannetti and the buddy buddy shit is incredibly grating. It's not even hockey related. This is content for nobody.
Yup, totally unprofessional. My favorite media professor would spin in his grave if he listened to that interview. He desperately wants to be buddy-buddy and one of the boys. That's why when the blatant lies about "we slow-cooked everybody" and "we've been doing it this way since Dean was here" are completely passed over, Hoven knows the Kings didn't develop this way under Dean. He knows about Doughty, Kopitar, Johnson, Clifford, Simmonds, Moller, etc. But he chooses not just to say nothing, but to push those lies in an attempt to defend the boys. And hey, there's nothing wrong with casual interview pods like Spittin Chiclets or Bussin with the Boys; I think many people (myself included) love those things. The problem is Hoven continues to call himself a journalist with objectivity and gets furious when people label him an organizational mouthpiece, even though he continues to do things over and over that make it easy for people to come to that conclusion.
Rosen said in his piece about the Turcotte override that three sources in the organization told him that Blake went against the scouts to take Turcotte over Zegras and was possibly influenced by Tony Granato. Yet this piece of information has never been discussed either in writing or on KOTP, not even in response to what Rosen wrote in April 2023 (correct me if I'm wrong). I think we all acknowledge that Hoven has well-placed sources in the organization, so presumably, if Rosen got it from three sources, Hoven also heard it, yet never mentioned it.
Three scenarios:
1. Rosen is outright lying.
2. None of Hoven's sources ever told him.
3. Hoven was told the same and decided to not mention it (because it makes Blake look terrible).
Gee, which one is the most likely?
But hey, guys, it's terribly unfair and unreasonable to suggest that Hoven is the organizational mouthpiece or to call him mean names like Pravda.
I used to spar a lot with the former member and HF legend Ron, but man was Ron spot on about Hoven. The "Crossing Guard" nickname and the avatar. Ron apparently knew right away when someone was a fake. I wish he had been there when I met my ex-wife.

If Matt Roy comes back, are we are one Fiala trade away from
@Sol pulling a tomd?
So they hate to play right-shots together, and they would have two solid veteran right shots in front of him, sure looks great for Clarke. He will spend the next two years on 3rd pair with some pylon, getting the final 30 second scraps on the PP after 1:30 of 37 year old Kopitar passing it to 35 year old Doughty and he shoots wide. This while similarly drafted players are taking ownership of up and coming teams.
