That’s unbelievable. My sites generate hundreds of thousands of clicks and it barely pays the car payments

Reactions: Lt Dan
I’m ok with it in a vacuum but it depends on what else they do. If they cut loose Lewis, move Grundstrom, find spots for Turcotte/Thomas, trade Danault and move QB back to C I’m fine with it. I don’t see that happening though.

At the moment I’m taking it as clickbait, as it usually proves to be no more than that.
i certainly hope so, but are you OK with it when it's like, 4-5 years on the contract? i think all those moves you listed are good moves but i think you can do all that without bringing in another nostalgia dumpster dive, even if it's a manhattan beach dumpster

Yeah,
The argument against Fiala is not that far from the argument you could make against Carter or Gaborik before they won us Stanley cups. The problem is the rest of the roster, period

Gaborik and Carter were already at levels beyond what Fiala has reached before they even came to LA.

Fiala is a 27 year old who still thinks and plays like a 19 year old. No maturity to his game whatsoever. He is a diet "star" who puts his desire to score above team results at 27 - that shit usually wears out by your early 20s.

Gaborik was a top notch scorer who played in a suffocating style in Minnesota and learned the value of defense early on and was a key cog on two different teams that reached the Conference Finals.

Carter got to two Conference Finals and to the Cup Finals with Philadelphia. Say what you want about his partying in the early stages of his career, but he delivered.

Fiala is just the easiest version of that type of player to acquire, but he has never proven anything beyond his incredible hands and edge work leading to respectable, but not "star" levels of empty points.

Toffoli wouldn’t be coming back to any kind of semblance to what the Kings were when he was here.

It’s a different organization and I think Toffoli knows that. IMO the Kings would have to overpay for him and with the cap crunch, I don’t see it, especially with Trevor Moore in the lineup already.

Though, I’m beginning to wonder if the Kings management will move someone like Danault and/or Moore.

I see Toffoli as being an option to replace Arvidsson and his $4.25M AAV.

As of now, the Kings have $19.9M in cap space. Byfield will be getting a nice raise, but I do think the Kings have some flexibility to add a legit goalie and a top six RW in the offseason.

After the pld trade, im convinced these assholes are capable of anything.
Is brisson toffoli's agent?
He sure is!

Toffoli is looking for his pay day. It should have happened last contract but covid screwed him.

Will always cheer for Toffoli. His phone call on the ice with his dad when LA won in 2014 is such a good memory. However for the deal he is likely looking for it does not make sense. .Martinez would make more sense IMO.

I guess people forget Tofolli mailing it in during the 18-19 season where he had 13g 21a in 82 games.. then followed it with another shitty season before being moved for peanuts at the deadline to Van. So f*** Tankfoli

Kevin Fiala:

Regular season: .75 points per game, career +20

Playoffs: .53 points per game -12

This is a guy that did not show up in the playoffs two years in a row. I was watching the Boston - Florida series and David Pastrnak. Both Fiala and Pastrnak have very similar skill sets, Pastrnak is a little bigger, but Fiala skates better. But, Pastrnak has an intangible that makes him a far better player- he really wants it. That's not to say Fiala isn't competitive (although his stats are disappointing in the playoffs), it's just that at the very top level, you need to have that little extra 'want it' to really be a star. Unfortunately, Fiala is a very good player, not a star.

To be fair, Fiala was also a no show in his post season appearances with Minny (I remember I focused on him since his last year he gave a dirty hit to Roy from behind with the #'s clearly visible).

No, at 4-5 years a definite no. I don’t see it happening anyway.

Gotta admit that bringing back the casualties of the fake rebuild to take the place of the prospects they got from the fake rebuild and save the jobs of the same management group that traded them in the first place would be objectively hilarious. If this were happening to another team it would be pure entertainment.
