Stamkos would really get the PP back on track, dude had 40 goals and many of them were on the PP. Ever since Vilardi got jettisoned the PP has been weak. Problem is I think now with Sergachev traded Tampa is most definitely looking to re-sign him.One of those 4, and I’d put Stamkos first on that list. Talk about a proven playoff performer, and Stammer would be incredible on the PP and I can’t believe how badly TB has dealt with him by lowballing him on a 3.9m for 6 years offer.
We also need a 3rd pair LD upgrade as well, Dillon would do that and not break the bank.

I hope we don't go after any more D, not enough room. If they would have f***ing played Clarke more last year there wouldn't be the anxiety of wondering how he'll play next year.
As for Stamkos, the longtime face of the franchise, it doesn’t appear as though Saturday changed a lot.
“I met with Don Meehan again this morning following the trade,” BriseBois said. “The plan is for Steven to test the free-agent market. Our respective positions haven’t changed following today’s trades. I understand that when you get this close to free agency, it can be tempting to see what the market has to offer you. It was a risk I was taking when I didn’t go to Steven a year early. And to be fair, I told Donnie that I think it is in the best interest of our organization to explore all options in the coming days, whether it be via trades or by getting to free agency and seeing how we can use this cap space to improve the makeup of our team.”
Why?Brenden Dillon would be terrible
I think Stamkos is looking for at least a 3 year deal. Dont think Kings looking to sign a forward for more than 2 years, especially at that age. Not sure what Debrusk is looking for dollar wise, but he'd be on to 4 or 5 years, depending on $$. He would look good next to Qb![]()
LeBrun and Johnston: What the Lightning are up to, Utah's defensive haul and more NHL Draft rumblings
The Lightning have freed up cap space, but is it going to Steven Stamkos or ... Jake Guentzel? Here's the buzz from execs at the NHL Draft.www.nytimes.com
Trenin - Kopitar - KempeSo now TB used a 3rd round pick to get Guentzel.
If Blake can give 6 mil for Kovy, he can do it for Stammer as well & he's the legit version of the guy Blake though Kovy was.
Not to mention Blake living on borrowed time and has to show improvement or he’s gone.

The Jake Guentzel era is over in Carolina, as the star player has been traded to the Tampa Bay Lightning.www.sportskeeda.com
Yeah that would be something wouldn’t it? I think we’d be able to compete with anyone in the west. I’d love to see what would happen if Stone came back and messed with Clarke again.Trenin - Kopitar - Kempe
Fiala - Byfield - Stamkos
Moore - Danault - Laferierre
Jeannot - Turcotte - Thomas

Okay okay.
Don't see the issue with a 3 year deal. King's are going to have old man Kopi (2 years) & old man Doughty (3 years) anyways. A three year deal would give a good break point to start a new direction.I think Stamkos is looking for at least a 3 year deal. You trying to sneak Fagemo in there?Trenin - Kopitar - Kempe

Okay okay.
The only CA native I want here is my boy Jason Robertson.We're going to sign Newport Beach native Jason Zucker.
Feisty, fairly consistent 40 point forward.
Personally I'm not, but doesn't he play Right Wing alot?Why is everyone clamoring for Stamkos? Where would he go? Doesn't LA have enough centers?
1) Kings should be trying to upgrade on Anderson & Gavrikov, not Englund;Why?
Brenden Dillon's VS Englund's stats last year:
Hits: 241 (Englund: 189)
Blocks: 111 (Englund: 87)
Goals: 8 (Englund: 1)
Points: 20 (Englund: 10)
He's a significant upgrade over our current #6LHD.
Who are you saying we bring in? And don't say Chychrun because he is horse shit.1) Kings should be trying to upgrade on Anderson & Gavrikov, not Englund;
2) Such a move would pretty much guarantee we’re running back a system very similar to what we’ve run the last few years
I think he mostly plays wing now.Why is everyone clamoring for Stamkos? Where would he go? Doesn't LA have enough centers?
Chabot, Provorov or Sergachev have been nice!Who are you saying we bring in? And don't say Chychrun because he is horse shit.
Sergachev would've been a sick add but we'd have to move Clarke likely.
Exactly. The 6th D isn’t the issue it’s the partner for DD and the future partner of Clarke.1) Kings should be trying to upgrade on Anderson & Gavrikov, not Englund;
2) Such a move would pretty much guarantee we’re running back a system very similar to what we’ve run the last few years
RW, PP specialist, toss him on whatever line. King's don't have a good right shot that they'll give ice time to. This is a major flaw in roster construction. Doubt Blake will address it though.Why is everyone clamoring for Stamkos? Where would he go? Doesn't LA have enough centers?
