LOL again. I missed this earlier. What is your problem exactly? Do you not understand that coaches will makes changes in the line-up to make the team better... and some times it could mean mixing up the lines? Apparently not. It's all about promotion or demotion in your mind?
my problem is that it's you who makes a problem of terminology, but when challenged you act like it's not worth bringing up. the post you were responding to, when you decided to broach this topic, was about how it was silly for you to defend the scratching of kurashev (because he needed to be held accountable of course for things like having at the time the highest FO% on the team) while idly floating the promotion of his linemate hall to the first line. instead of actually engaging with that point, you decided to dodge it by denying that it would be a promotion on purely semantic grounds. and that is why we have had to have this diversion that we have.

I worry more about our GM.

Next off season will huge for KD. Tearing the walls down for picks and prospects is the easy part. Next year we need to see…

1)Who he brings in as a new coach. I don’t think you can go the unproven route after the JC and LR experience and how they’ve turned out.
2)Positive progress at the NHL level from some of these prospects.
3)And IMO a big splash in FA, offer sheet, or a trade for RFA rights for help for Bedard. TT and Bertuzzi aren’t cutting it, Hall will likely be gone, and while Donato has been great in his role it’s embarrassing we are trying him on the top line with Bedard again. Can’t go into next year hoping an 18 year old rookie is the relief Bedard needs in year 3.

Every NHL city has at least a handful of particularly impatient fans who call for the coach’s head after every loss, and Richardson’s two years of immunity from that vocal minority are clearly over. There have been replies to every recent Hawks-related social-media post demanding his firing.

Davidson, however, labeled those as “ridiculous thoughts.” Richardson’s job security remains strong. His seat isn’t warm, much less hot.

Yeah. It is the same Hawks fans who asked for patience while agreeing that a re-build takes 5+ years who are now the impatient ones. Once again, I'm not saying Luke is the answer for long term coach but he has the team playing hard and has added accountability. It is no easy task to rid the country club atmosphere that over the years had firmly set in. Are we all going to agree with every decision on the ice? Of course not (no matter who is coach) and everyone has their views at how players should be deployed but let's not pretend that we know what goes on in the dressing room and behind closed doors with GM and upper management. The draft picks that so many were/are high on are mostly in the minors being groomed. When they do arrive they will be exposed to a team that is accountable and plays the game properly on both sides of the puck.

No it isn't. Plenty of us are sensible. There was always people who thought a rebuild can be 2 years or the impatient people try to say they've been rebuilding since 2018 or ignore Bowman was trying to win, just badly his last year

AKA idiots like a certain poster here who is upset the team is likely getting a top 5 pick again and not a middle team stuck in no mans land.

Well good luck with that Kyle. Glad you enjoy watching games like tonight, because I sure as shit don’t.

Shitty teams don't get many shots? I'm shocked. They are middle of the pack in shots for both 5 on 5 and all strengths, so I'm not sure what you are on about.

Uh, They're 28th in Corsi% 5 on 5.
Screenshot (40).png

Even with a healthy and greatly improved roster, they're still only about 1% better before they mailed it in to finish last year.

Nobody cares that they suck in the standings. The style and culture is all that's carrying over and neither looks dynamite for a new kid coming up.

What has this guy done that tells us Moore, Nazar, Lev, Bedard, KK, etc. would be any better offensively in 3 years compared to a cardboard cutout behind the bench? At some point they need to take chances with the puck instead of waiting for perfect conditions.

At some point you guys are just choosing to nitpick every single thing LuRich does. I want him gone when the Hawks are done rebuilding too but we have a bad lineup with few good line options. What more do you want from the guy?

“This line obviously isn’t working!”
“Switching up the lines again!”

Hawks suck, we need a better roster and coach. News at 11
