Show Me What You Got!
There have been consistent issues with this team that has been here since Ruff stated that have never went away despite both assistant changes and roster changes.
And I really hate to throw these bad vibes out there, but I'm highly convinced that Ruff will play Daws both games of the back to back. I've really been thinking that for the last few days and now that we're in desperation time, he's really gonna wanna play him both games.
I'm not quite as convinced of this as I am that Ruff is in his final year here, so don't @ me if I'm wrong on that one. I certainly hope I am, but right now I'm feeling Daws plays both.
Maybe Poulter gets the Saturday game? Seems less likely now than ever after it being an absolute must win (so was the Capitals game, we saw how that went), but it feels like Poulter is basically here to be a JAG backup to sit on the bench while Daws plays, rather than dress an EBUG.
Playing behind a Ruff defense leaves goalies terrified that wide open shots can come from anywhere on the ice at any time.Daws looked lost out there tonight. I'm afraid of what becomes of this kid if Ruff does this
I thought they (or maybe just one of them) were really cute back in 1990. It may have been the shorter haired one.Don't you know?
Don't you know things can change
Things'll go your way
If you hold on for one more day
Can you hold on for one more day
Things'll go your way
Hold on for one more day

Honestly, Ruff did him no favors in 2022, which I was pumping that meme out back then too.Daws looked lost out there tonight. I'm afraid of what becomes of this kid if Ruff does this
Flames fan in peace, any chance your ownership/GM is still willing to make a move for Markstrom to save the season? Or is your FO more pragmatic than that and willing to wait till the summer?

The team that is going to lose 5 or 6 in a row is us. How do you possible think we are going to win a few? We can't win more than 2 games and if we even win 2 it's like winning the Lotto. The season is over. Face it.This season is not over. Sorry if this is what some think but we can still could get in. All you need is a team or two that tail spins with 5 or 6 losses in a row and we start winning a few.

At this point I think it's unlikely they make that kind of trade, but who's to say. Fitz just doesn't strike me as a guy who is going to be desperate when the very realistic situation is that this team is not going to make the playoffs.Flames fan in peace, any chance your ownership/GM is still willing to make a move for Markstrom to save the season? Change some damn players on it then. Get the Hughes princesses off it or at least the 20 year old one who hasn’t played a single game of the season not on PP1 despite struggling for long stretches, us having a highly gifted 2nd overall pick behind him and us having a 9 million dollar top 5-10 offensive defensmen at the start of the season."Pressed on this (the poor PP) after the game, Ruff said he’s working with his staff on better options – and said reporters were creating “excess pressure” by asking players about the lifeless unit."
“I imagine you’ve asked every player – now they’re feeling it and you guys are creating excess pressure,” Ruff told reporters.

I think people just want some pressure and accountability right now because that’s one of the biggest problems within the team and organization right now. Too many people aren’t held accountable and whine if they are or things don’t go their way.I for one am relieved to learn it's not goaltending, coaching or a lack of special teams chemistry that's holding this team back, it's just poor reporting.
Phew.
