SA is abhorrent. Q clearly shares in the responsibility of what happened in Chicago. He's publicly stated he blames himself for not doing more. He took remedial actions to better himself. He also spoke with KB. Were you privy to their conversation? Endorsing Q for bench boss doesn't mean I tolerate SA. What an insane insinuation.
Coaching in the NHL is a privilege very few people have access to. If you help cover up SA, you lose that privilege. I dont care that he was cleared by Bettman and the NHL. I dont want him anywhere near our team. He chose winning over helping a victim.

If you want him to coach our team, thats up to you. I'd rather not continue this discussion though. Best of luck.

Hope Drury gets fired but doubt that happens sadly 🤮
Who are potential Drury replacements? Not too familiar with advantages of having one individual hold both President of Hockey Operations and GM titles vs. separate, but I can see Messier in President role. GM options? Jarmo Kekalainen? Marc Bergevin? Don't say Peter Chiarelli. I don't see NYR going to another first-time GM to replace Drury.

Get rid of Panarin. Yes, I keep harping on this because it's painful but it's also the solution. But, he's the majority of our offense, and who's going to replace that, you say. Panarin isn't solving our problems now, is he? If anything, he's looked like shit a lot of the times as well. Doesn't bother to backcheck anymore.

The CSI unit has arrived, and Panarin's fingerprints on the team playing hockey like a glorified skills contest are all over the place. We need players to play hockey, not globetrot. It's like figure skaters who couldn't cut it wind up being ice dancers.
I think a handful of players are going to need to go out of Kreider, Trouba, Lindgren, Miller, and Shesterkin, but Panarin is the headliner. Not because he's not a good player, but because he will return value, and we're just not going to win a cup with him. So much of our future is on the wings already with players like Lafreniere, Kakko, Perrault, Cullye, Berard, and Othmann and it just doesn't make sense for the focal point of our offense to be an 11.6 million dollar winger. It's time to rip the bandaid off.

Id love Messier in the role they originally envisioned for JD. Let him set the expectations for what's expected with how the team conducts themselves. But hire a GM with some experience to handle the day to day under him. I dont really see why theyd shitcan Drury now and expect the situation to change, but in the summer we shall see.

Kreider seems to think guys aren't playing their hardest. Trocheck said similarly last night when he said "guys need to play outside their comfort zone". But I'm the crazy one for suggesting it might be the case.

Maybe it’s frustration with not generating crap off the cycle, but our forwards and even the D are jumping the zone before we have solid possession. Like a 40/60 battle down low in our D zone and our wingers are higher than their coverage, licking their chops for an odd man. Of course we lose the battle and then face an odd man rush down low. On the opposite end, we lose the puck along the boards in the O zone and then 2 wingers and a D all jump in to pinch for an already lost puck. Odd man against again.

Shesty giving up multiple softies and 5 hole galore ain’t helping too. Just a mess all around.

This is my issue with the people saying that if we just replace Trouba/Lindgren and maybe Miller, we'll be fine. There is zero team defense being played by any player. No attention to detail. No compete. Team need a heart transplant on top of any personnel changes they should make.

True, but the retort might be if we had competent D who can start offense from the D zone then our forwards may commit to playing D more, knowing they’ll get their chances without needing to cheat

You have to start somewhere. Ive been saying they should waive Trouba and trade Lindgren since July. Many of us have.

Gerard Gallant is alive and well, thank you, tending to his horseradish farm. He wakes up every morning, steps out into the clean northern Canadian air and sniffs 10 times fast to savor life.
Plus having books wrote about his life leading to the Big Apple . I gotta grab one this week and see what it is all about . Will be interesting to see if he has any hard feelings on his tenure there....I doubt he would say anything anyways....he is a class act stand up guy as is his whole family .

Someone should tell Igor the games start at 6:30pm. Then maybe he'll stop giving up a goal in the first few minutes...

So when is Dolan coming out guns-a-blazing? I would think it's happening soon...
Sather has no TV in Banff Ski Hills and or cell service in the mountains and the Post Office is on strike....once the wagon train reaches him he will be standing in line at the airport to blaze a trail to NYC where he will assist Dolan into shaping up the next 10 years of misery .

Devils had two breakaways and some odd man rushes in that period.

Our best chance and the one that could've changed the game was a 2-0 that eventually ended up as a flubbed, low danger chance at the end of it.

But, let's just continue to bitch about Igor.

In our defence, we are are bitching about pretty much everyone not named Cullye at this point...

And yet you ignore his mediocre goals saved above expected. 13th in the league playing more than most goalies.

I just saw the clip of Vally saying Hughes was trying to embarrass Igor last night and how Colton Orr would have been on the edge, ready to fight Hughes...

...fellas, is it gay to deke?

When your deke fails, yes
So then nobody should ever try to deke ever, since on Jack's part it wasn't even trying to be impressive.

Vally had the most embarrassing night, and he didn't have a second of ice time. Hughes wasn't nearly "trying to embarrass Igor."

Awful take from him AINEC. Also, nothing wrong with being gay ;)
