Ugly times in Ranger land. That was a tough watch. I don't actually think the Devils had that many more really good looks than us, they just really capitalised on what they did create and made sure most of our chances were 1 and done. Plus their PP getting it done and Shesty looking pretty average.
But once again we were out worked across the ice and looked like we had no idea what we were doing or how we could create pressure. Drury has already said this group is is done, but you have to assume he's really looking to make some moves sooner rather than later.
All the special teams play in the 2nd kind of messed with ice time, and I know Mika plays PP and PK, but at this point he should not be leading forwards in ice-time and Kreider shouldn't be 3rd. And Edstrom should be playing more than 9 mins.
Laf really has turned back into a ghost and that's pretty concerning if the idea is start turning over the team to guys like him.

Dolan doesn't care about the Rangers sucking but he's overly sensitive to what happens on his ice against divisional teams

Do these players watch film? Are they really that oblivious to their poor performance? Fox, too, seems to think the score tells a different story.

Only interesting player to watch is Berard, so that was the most disappointing part of the game. Hope he’s back soon.

Any positive spin after that is just more symptoms of the disease.
Time to bench Kakko and send this team a message.
Shots were 9-2 our way but it certainly didn't feel like it, and you could tell the Devils weren't feeling any pressure at all. They looked like they were out for an afternoon skate
