The root cause of Laf's issues is still Lavi breaking up the lines to try and get Kreider and Zibanejad going. He was still producing up until that time. It wasn't great, but he was still putting pucks in the net while semi engaged with Panarin and Trocheck. Tro had some early chemistry with Smith but that died, and he's looked lost also since then.

Trying to get Mika and Kreider going 5v5 has set the Rangers back years.

Rangers are a below .500 team since they signed Laf to that contract. Draw your own conclusions but none of them are particularly good. Im betting there are vets in the locker room who didnt like seeing the kid get paid before Igor. Im also betting some young guys are a bit disillusioned that they continue to not get more ice time.
This tinfoil hat stuff is so exhausting.

The team just sucks a f***ing ass.

Laf showed signs of being a dynamic play driver that Zibs used to be, it's been incredibly frustrating to see that dissappear but who isn't coming up short right now?

Tkachuk is kind of a baby. The type of player that will completely blow a backcheck because he's yelling at the ref.

A good player who sure as hell can spark and offense and a forecheck, but his ability to lead a team is overrated and entirely based on vibes.

If you can show me a realistic trade where you got him, sure. Again, he's a very good player. I'm not going to turn down a good player. If you expect him to come here and be Goku or whatever the f***, you're gonna have a bad time. He wouldn't be my captain if we did get him.

The Senators are bad with him because they're a bad team, and we'll continue to be a bad team if we don't overhaul the roster.

Mika and Fox already do that on a regular basis. at least Tkachuk can bring some Nasty to this pathetic soft pampered group

Please.

Gorton is the one who got us INTO this mess by spending a 1st and $56M on trouba... This team has lived and died on that f***ing contract because of what an albatross of a player he is. Complete disaster

Miller has shown himself to be the problem on the top 4... Something has to give here
Trouba was fine when we got him, keeping him past his due date is the problem. Buchnevich,, Goodrow, Smith, etc, spending assets before the team was ready for a cup, not trading Lindgren, signing Zibs to that nmc contract, trying to trade Trouba without getting his nt list and having it blow up in his face is ALL on current management. Drury thought this team was good enough after watching us play vs Florida last year, he thought we're a Smith away it appears. Run it back, here's where we are.

Yeah I don't have a problem with the Trouba trade. Most were applauding it as we thought we were getting a rugged player who was offensive and defensive and also the fact that going the other way was fan-fave Neal Pionk. Trouba's first year was pretty decent.

It's a combination of both. Deny it all you want but they won the President's trophy in a down year from Igor last year. They have immensely talented players. Just replacing Trouba and Lindgren is not making this team any better if they have no compete level. It's a team of coach killer's but it's a "conspiracy theory" to say there are locker room issues. Please.

They're coach killers now? 2-3 years is the going rate.

You said the vets are mad that a young player got paid before Igor. That is 100% a conspiracy theory.

After all this time, we still can't admit the team just isn't very good and that's the long and the short of it. Do you guys do this because you're bored when the team is bad?
