This business is about Results. If you don't get them you don't keep your job, it's that simple.

3 years in a row of terrible starts - DJ needs to be let go. Even if he is not a 'bad' coach it is safe to say he is not the coach to bring this team to the next level

I’m sure Dorion is thrilled to firmly be in the Bedard race in November after all of the extensions, signings and trades this off-season. Some posters have it right, we are panicking and overthinking everything.

After seeing Zaitsev in over Holden I’m on the fire DJ train. Unless Holden is hurt this is just unforgivable.

Whomever started the "Fire DJ" chant in the home end tonight deserves a gold star.

Longest tenured coach in the league besides a couple of recent cup winners (Cooper, Sullivan) and Rob Brindamour.

Amazing how we continue to award losing.

Coaches with .600 winning percentage and stabley cups have been fired while we continue to hold on to a .400 coach where he only won in juniors.
The pointiest trophy to win in all professional sports.

Doesn’t look like coaching is the problem to me. I mean what in the world were Chabot and Branstrom doing there lol??

The thing is, sometimes a coaching change is the only shake up that can legitimately happen. I hope the guys can cut the brutal plays out because I like DJ as the coach here.

It also would be nice if the goalie could save the day on one of those doozies…

Ah well, on to the next one. So much off ice stuff going on to be stoked about that it takes the edge off the losses for me.

That and the endless fawning over this upcoming draft class…

Underlying numbers and players liking him (which will wear off soon if it hasn't already) are the reasons. Unfortunately repeating the same formula and getting the same results every game is going demoralize this team.

Cause the coach never told them where they should actually be ?

I know it’s the super popular running point of blame in here, and that’s fine.

Personally I see most of the goals against us being individual giveaways and botched passes that have nothing to do with system play.

It’s ok, there’s room for more than one opinion in this vast virtual space ;)

Let’s trade all the players we just signed.

I guess they just decided to play on the same pairing.
Not sure if you’re being serious, but obviously I’m referring to the ridiculous double give away gaff that lead to a goal. Not sure how that play was drawn up… lol

Well I mean if you read the second small paragraph of my original post, you could have saved yourself the moment it took to post this.

Pretty sure he said something similar before firing Boucher. Regardless, I don't think it matters what Dorion says. He is desperate for results.

Yeah, but I’m betting he meant it when he said it, and then Melnyk issued an order.

Or, maybe you’re right!

For some reason thought you were referring to them playing together in general.

My bad
