I'd rather not, if he can't put up goals with a top 6 consisting of Panarin, Zibby, Kreider, Kane, Trochek, and Tarasenko, he won't be able to get any scoring out of our guys. Plus he stifles youth development
he's got the best winning percentage of any NYR coach who coached over 100 games.

Every coach has warts, but a massive upgrade on DJ - its not even close.

Seems like a pretty accurate assessment but I doubt this thing is real.
There’s a verification process and all the reviews are approved by the admins. I checked some coaches with good reputations (Keefe, Bednar, Evason) and the reviews are positive. Sutter has a terrible review which is to be expected.

It seems pretty legit…

App is only available on apple app store? Thats a red flag ...

Seriously though, I'm not surprised that there are some disgruntled players leaving bad reviews, probably Matt Murray... Every coach will have some players that like them and others that hate them.

All signs pointing to Coach Q landing in NY, crazy - I wonder if they can keep Kane on a discount

Gallant is an excellent coach, one of my personal favorites, hope we snag him now if Quenneville is off the market

Don't mind Gallant

Stutzle is already developed so we're safe
I think he would be great, especially at this stage of the rebuild

He’s a players coach too so it’s not like bringing in a Tortorella or Sutter who can damage the room.

He has success everywhere he goes, the coaches hired immediately after him in Fla and Vegas had worse results

Highest winning percentage of any coach over 100 games in NY

We talk about DJ having a long leash, markets like NY, TOR, MTL have none.

Ottawa would be a great spot for Gallant as well, plays a style that fits the team makeup and the development work is mostly done

But he gets fired year two everywhere it seems. I crave stability for this roster going forward.

Well clearly you don’t get fired in Ottawa

Vegas and NY fire everybody and trade everybody. That’s not really a concern to me considering how successful he has been with all three teams and the nature of those organizations.

I think it’s more important for Gallant to work in a stable environment, Ottawa is that.

He would be a massive upgrade on DJ

Reading Ranger threads he’s very stubborn they say. Doesn’t change lines much, even if not working, loves to play the vets.

I do not read much into what fans say, but I do think the "he plays his vets too much" is a criticism of almost every successful coach.

It is about results to me, brought FLA to the playoffs, Vegas to the cup finals, and NYR to the semi-finals with two back to back 100 pt seasons a year after taking over from Quinn who got no results.

Boughner did nothing with FLA after him, DeBoer did nothing with Vegas after him.

You are looking for an improvement on Smith, without risking hurting the locker room. Gallant is a perfect fit imo.

I love Coach Q and Julien as well

Completely agree with this. Julien had better record with the Habs than Ducharme. DeBoer is a decent coach, don't love him but it would be a massive upgrade over Smith. Q is still a top 5 coach IMO. The twitter and reddit mobs would lose their minds and the media would crucify us but it would be such a great get. Don't see it happening though, new ownership wouldn't want a media sh!t storm right after taking over especially with Reynolds being a public figure. It sounds like James Dolan in NY is willing to take the heat so I'd say he's likely off the market.

Eh, I want to see what DJ can do with a healthy lineup this season, not going to lie.

Old coaches are getting replaced because hey can’t reach and speak to the kids these days.

I’d rather find a way to be on the cutting edge than picking from the fired bin. I’d prefer DJ right now over any of the available, fired, head coaches.

Bring me another young assistant coach who is the next guy to break in, like DJ, and I’d listen.

But I think DJ has more to give this team, and I’m not a big grass is greener guy.

Maybe but that’s definitely something I’d say if I were an unscrupulous person trying to draw attention to my niche app.

The big tech companies are getting involved in too many things. They've gone beyond tech to content & the payment businesses. Can't see how having a handful of huge tech companies having so much influence and power is good for the general population.
