Workers in a government town demanding people get fired NOW for lack of performance…

That has to raise a chuckle for irony just because… hehehe :)

No Jimmie’s rustled, just thought it sounded…. Humorous…

Need to wait out new ownership. Until then, enjoy the ride.

Grass will be greener shortly, will finally rip the last weeds of the garden out with Dorion and DJ
The grass is never greener….. as soon as the new coach takes over, whether it’s this season or next, after the very first loss, within seconds, there will be a thread created on this site called…… “ Fire ***** Now!”…….

So, you want a man to lose his job and his livelihood just because you want to win an internet argument? That's kinda f***ed up.
Whether he's fired now or as a result of new ownership clearing the deck when they arrive has little to no effect on his livelihood, his contract is guaranteed. If anything, getting fired now gives him more opportunity to look for new employment as he can interview for any openings that come up.

He should be fired because the team hasn't lived up to expectations, simple as that.

Ya there's a certain irony there

Maybe it is just me but the past 7 or 8 games we really needed a push and didn't get it and I think you can see on DJ's face on the bench that he realizes that his head coaching career is slipping away from him

He needs to go harder, track, check, stick in lanes, be hard. Harder is the answer to everything

I totally agree. We’ve had some good stretches to, and some dominant play at times, but we just can’t score when we need it. Not just clutch goals, but goals that should be scored.

We can’t dictate games, and we can’t force other teams to chase the game because we rarely score first, rarely build a lead, and thus we are always playing catch up, and guys are squeezing the sticks 5v5.

A more threatening bottom 6 would help for sure, but our top guys are just not scoring when they should either…

Like many fans I feel like a shake up is needed, with or without throwing shade at DJ. I think DJ will coach again, maybe start as an assistant again or something, at least I hope so as he seems like a pretty genuine person, and has been a good developmental coach for us.

Would you rather Talbot tonight? There are back to back games. Haven't won in Pittsburgh in 10 years, and I think Forsberg has played well against the Jets?
Yes, we should have started Talbot against the western team who we aren't chasing in the standings, and Forsberg in the 4 pt game, assuming the goal is still to play meaningful games in March/April.

It’s great we have good special teams and credit to DJ, but Jacques Martin (who was hired as an assistant and was a low cost coach hire had some of the best special teams, 5 on 5, goaltending, winning and making the playoffs run of any coach in his era (he coached for team Canada) and made the most of his hire in Ottawa - that’s the type of coach I want

Want a person who can:

#1 - Fix Chabot

#2 - create a system that makes the goalie the best player on the ice every night, that controls the neutral zone, is easy on the D (can be glass and out and have your team win the puck back in the neutral zone), good special teams, gets the first shot and first goal of the game.

#3 - can win in the playoffs - has to be able to coach to 16W, a coach with a Pat Quinn/Daryl Sutter playoff vibe.
