Hughes, Eichel, and Matthews scares me a little ngl. Obviously a lot has to happen on the ice still but no doubt for me this is one of the better teams on paper that the Americans have iced.



I don't watch a ton of Wild games because, well, I love myself but I rarely see a bad outing from him. He might not always be scoring but watching a bad Rantanen, Marner, or (either)Tkachuk game can be painfully bad.

Well, somebody's gotta do it.

...but I agree. I actively avoid watching Wild matchups and have been for like 15 years.

If anyone predicted the US would lead Finland 2-1 late into the second, I think you'd have gotten laughed out of the thread.

Finland has by and large controlled the game in terms of how they see the road to their success. Not necessarily completely controlling play but by making the USA really work for their chances.

If Finland shot on their odd man rushes, it might be 2-2 or 2-1 Finland at this point. Honestly, other than the current score, I don't know if American fans should be happy with tonight's performance after 2.
