if we land at 3 do you offer the Hagens/Martone pick for Brady? Seems like not only a perfect fit for what they need culture wise but also a good fit for Bedard

Is there a thread about this tournament on HF Hawks that I have blocked or something? I hope you all are watching these games. They’re damn good. Both of them so far.
I’m flad we kicked in Finland’s teeth tonight. Had to get that monkey off our back. On to Team Canada on Saturday. Binnington sucks so I think we’ll pull out a win.

Man I don’t know. Very tough call. The odds of those picks even being almost as good as Brady are pretty low. But Tkachuk could also decide he doesn’t want to be a Blackhawk in a few more seasons and then be gone

Kind of glanced at last nights game, was at the gym for the 1st, and had it on in the back ground while gaming last night. Didn't look like as good of a game as the CAN/SWE game but still had the intensity of it.
US players have been looking forward to this next game for such a long time, they seem to be taking it pretty seriously despite what some people were saying about this tourney. Gonna be tough for Canada to stop them especially with their D and goaltending.
Makar didn't look great in the 1st game, and now is sick, Parayko looked awful, Doughty didn't look great, Theodore out for the tourney, and enter Sanheim? Yuck. D used to be Canadas best asset, and goaltending wasn't a worry because of that.
ALso looks like Bennett will be playing the next game, that will be fun to watch, him vs. Tkachuks.

There's smoke that because Brady had it written into his contract that he got to wear the "C", the culture in Ottawa isn't that good. I'm not sure taking in a guy who feels needs to do that to get the C is such a great fit for the Hawks.

I just think Brady is exactly the kind of player Bedard needs on his line. The contract thing would definitely be a concern, and then he still needs to clear Hagens/Martone upside, which their upside might be Brady type production anyway

Canada had the speed and intensity. Can they keep it up? Looked like they slowed down a bit towards the end of the game. But they looked tight.
USA is a great team on paper but didn’t look as sharp. Need to clean up their game but it was fun watching the Tkachuks and Eichel. Thought Faber stood out not in a good way, aside from his assist. He’s young.
Cant wait for Saturday.

Yeah Faber had a tough game; mental mistakes were made. Hopefully he doesnt get overwhelmed again next game.

I hope they don’t embarrass the country. JT miller looked like he wanted to yesterday. I don’t trust those kachuks either.
