While many folks on here hate the Leafs and Bruins and that's normal...my hatred is the f***ing punk ass Sens team lead by a piece of shit coach who is dressing goons in a pre season game.
Hopefully the NHL has taken notice of his comments and subsequent actions for tonight's game.
The NHL remains a bush league and fringe, niche sport for a reason.

They only take notice when revenues are down otherwise, they’re not standing in the way of anything that sparks interest like animosity within a rivalry.

So what exactly do you want lol?
23 out of 23 guys who can scrap?
We need to have a 4th line of just goons?
So what get a Dave Cemenko on with Suzuki and Caufield for 10 years..?
"Omg need to add size everywhere" ok but can they play f***ing hockey too?

You guys are doing this backwards lol, you dont GET a Xhekaj and go "omfg we need to surround him with Fighters"
You GET a Xhekaj to help insulate the talent
The point is that you can't expect Jack Eye to do all the enforcement. You can get guys who can enforce that can also play like Jack Eye. Tom Wilson for example.

Wow, all these comments about goons (the bad guys, the ugly shitsens) remind me of old cowboy movies. You know the type of movie where all the town folk are scared crazy (HF Board) because a group of bad guys (the ugly shitsens) are coming to town to raise horse hockey and seek revenge on the sheriff Jackeye (The Beaut) and his faithful sidekick Pez (Cowboy Salad the Kid)...

I just want to let you know I saw the end of the movie and the good guys win.:hit:

So apparently DJ Smith real issues last game was Anderson's knocking Stützle off his skates last game. He wants a more physically lineup tonight because he think the Habs are a physical teams that hits a lot...

Pre-season hitting stats (no stats for October 6th game):
Habs/Sens game 2: 18 vs 31
Habs/Leafs game 2: 13 vs 24
Habs/Sens game 1: 12 vs 24
Habs/Leafs game 1: 39 vs 41
Habs/Jets: 25 vs 25
Habs/Devils: 21 vs 26

Habs only like to hit Leaves.

Pretty disgusting if Ottawa tries to goon it up.

I’d be tempted not to play Arber. Wouldn’t be shocked if one of these goons tried jumping him and folks forget he’s still a kid who hasn’t even played an nhl game yet.

simple solution, if/when the sens target cole/or slaf/ dach, or any player on the habs, than that is a green light for the habs to take out stutzle, or jackeye to add tkackuk to his bitch list, i am sure that the sens do not want any of there better players to start the season injured, especially Debrincat, so let the sens go after cole, as soon as they do, take out the cat, this season means little to the habs except development and signs of progression, this season means a lot more to the Sens.
Eh, Id much rather not lose Caufield to a career injury and dress a goon as a deterrent.

An eye for an eye is only good in theory, it ignores the real life repercussions of player injuries.

Xhekaj rattled Smith.

I love him but the Habs will need to add beef if we dont want Xhekaj to tilt with the Wilsons, Reaves and MacDermids of this world. Anderson and Pezz are the only others that can handle themselves.

Last thing I want is to see Cole and Nick have to deal with 2010s type shenanigans because someone is living in the oppositions head.

I know I'm all for it, it's not about 'protecting' our own players anymore, it's about instilling the thought that one of our players could do something stupid if you want to rough it up, and yeah, we're a tad bit young and underwhelming for that type of game. And yeah, it's still a thing, in case some people still think physical play has disappeared.

But I would go the opposite way.....let's do nothing about it.
I think that would piss them off them even more.

Kastelic did that already... Arber's comment after the fight was "F***king loser".
I like jackeyes chances in kicking ass even if he is jumped by a sens goon, all that does is prove that the sens are afraid to stare down jackeye face to face and drop the gloves, if a second sens goon tries to jump in I am certain that Anderson will answer the call and do what needs to be done, regardless every shift hit hard the sens star players , than keep doing it, nothing dirty just let them know in the back of their minds that they are going to be hit a lot when out on the ice. I know it is pre season , but it does not have to look like a figure skating competition.

If we're so soft then why is he talking about pushback? What does that make his team then if the soft Habs managed to push them around in the previous game? Clown...
The entire Sens organization and their fans have major inferiority complex. That result in a bully behavior and projecting into others what you are doing to give yourself a reasons to do what you are doing.

But DJ Smith's public reasoning for it just sent the message that his top players can't handle the NHL physicality...

We got a new RD or is MON somewhere else?

edit: Mon is Habs...I'm so used to MTL.
