No. let the kid play with kids of his age and dominate.Completely understand the reasoning for him being in the OHL, but could Laval use him about right now.

Both of Lambert and Kulich are playing well in the AHL. They are pretty much close in skill. And to think I was pissed because they didn't pick Lambert or Kulich in that spot. I dunno but with the amount of crow I've eaten in the past few years, it's becoming a staple in my diet
This team was always going to turn it around. They have too many good players not to. Bad starts happen. Mesar is great, and what this team needed, but he isn't same magical savior. There are lots of talented players in this league and if Mesar stayed in Laval, then they would have traded for another power forward.kitchener was 1 w 5 L before Mesar, since Mesar joined in, they're 2 w 0 L
What do you mean? They have Belzile, Richard, Guindon, Stephens and all those great players that are so much better. You don't play a Mesar when you have a Belzile at center!Completely understand the reasoning for him being in the OHL, but could Laval use him about right now.
I’m not sure how much of that decision was due to Houle vs. Hughes’ stated preference for the kid to dominate in the OHL.Houle had immovable superstars in his top 9. No room for a scrawny 18 yr-old... his mind was made up long before Mesar was cut by the Habs.
He has that extra gear that can kill an opposition defence.Such a great skater and stickhandles without losing any speed.
I guess the sequence could be kill the OHL this year, play in Laval next year, make the Habs at 20.What do you mean? They have Belzile, Richard, Guindon, Stephens and all those great players that are so much better. You don't play a Mesar when you have a Belzile at center!
I don't know why Hugo would want him playing C if the rumours are true. Unless they want him to be versatile. Because our center position is too deep.I’m curious to see what Kitchener does. Mesar and Pinelli have great chemistry together already. Problem is that Pimelli is center. If Mesar has a future at center like some fans on here suggest them the best bet is to split the two players up except for on the power play.
In two years, 3rd line of Farrell-Beck-MesarI don't know why Hugo would want him playing C if the rumours are true. Unless they want him to be versatile. Because our center position is too deep.
I'd love him on the wing though. A tenacious, speedy, fast, crafty scorer that can play up and down your lineup and even sub in for C if needed. What a chef's kiss that would be for our future team
Bustsar, obviouslyHe’s slipping. Was at a 4 points per games pace, now down to 3 points per game. Time to change that avatar pic.
If he plays two OHL seasons he could unlock some more skills like Suzuki did.I guess the sequence could be kill the OHL this year, play in Laval next year, make the Habs at 20.
Maybe. But Suzuki did not have an AHL option at 19. He had to more or less stagnate points-wise versus 17 and 18. Mesar does have an AHL option. If he is physically ready to play in Laval at 19, it will accelerate his NHL readiness at 20.If he plays two OHL seasons he could unlock some more skills like Suzuki did.
This is perfect! He going to get lot of ice he going to produce, he will be able to work small thing while he is producing.
He will go to the WJC and ready to dominate! The years he will be in the AHL or might even finish the year in the AHL.
Habs win more often with Slaf in the lineup, therefore he should stay. For now.Great.
Now... can we please do the same thing with Slafkovsky?
The biggest issue how do we make sure we finish top 5 to make sure we have the best odd possible and can drop too low if we lose it and how will we be able to add a additional pick.
