What is your favourite memory/game from the WJC?
For me i would have to say the 2009 Canada-Russia Semi Finals, one of the best games I've ever seen, as well as the best moment. Eberle's goal with 5.4 seconds left still gives me chills every time I watch it.
Ive only been watching hockey for 10 years though

WJC 2012 gold medal game against Russia when Zibanejad scores in overtime

WJC 2012 on new year's eve, final group game against Russia when we're down 3-0 in the first period, then we score three goals in the third (tied the game with 40 seconds left) and ending the game by winning in OT!

A few great memories for me, in no particular order:

- Larmer's breakaway goal in the 1991 Canada Cup

- Slaney '91

- '96 WJHCs - my High School hockey team worked at an exhibition game in N.B., and we had an opportunity to meet a lot of the players (Iginla, Baumgartner, Langkow, Dominechelli)

- '93 and '95 WJHCs were a lot of fun; I really believe that some of the charm of this tournament was lost when it moved from smaller cities and towns like Saskatoon and Red Deer to the bigger cities.

- 2002 Olympics - Gold Medal game (obviously)

98 Nagano semifinal Finland vs Russia. Still seeing nightmares of Pavel Bure and remember Selänne tears after the game.

World cup 2004 Semi Final and Final vs Usa and Canada with Raimo Summanen as coach that was most physical team ive ever witnessed Ruutu brothers and co hitting everything that moved was epic games.

2014 Sochi Finland vs Russia dropping russias generation from olympics on their own soil silencing entire country.

2014 WJC semifinal against Canada 5-1 win. Even the overtime winning goal against Sweden in the final won't beat that feeling what I had after the semifinal.

One of the best memories from JWC for me as well. I was attending that game rooting and chanting for Finland. Good times :) After the final loss against the finns, me and the guys I had traveled with went out and partied with a group of finns. Had a blast.

Eberle's goals against Russia

Russia coming back to beat Canada in the finals a few years ago

Carlson's overtime gold medal goal

Germany beating Czech 3-0 this past year.

Those are the first ones that come to mind.

2012 WCH Satan's SH goal against Czech Republic sending Slovakia to final

2010 OG Demitra's semicircle shootout on Bryzgalov

And of course 2002 WCH final game Russia - Slovakia

Probably the 2009 WJC's semifinal, that or 2010 Gold Final against the USA. Not the score I wanted, but it was such a good game.

The 1-0 game in the Olympics that Canada won against the US. That game was really intense, I can remember being more nervous during that game than during a real hockey game that I played.

I have 2

winning gold in 2010 in Canada

beating Russia in that same tournament they thought they were unchallenged and that they would walk to the gold medal until they humbled 7-3

Best International Game

Hi, I think, I will pick the best game that I knew was with Russia and Canada. It was so exciting. If i'm not mistaken my husband told me that it was a game in the year 2009? I hope, I make sense about it.

- 2002 and 2010 Olympic gold medal games.

- '91 Canada Cup final

- 2004 World Cup of Hockey final

- '05 and '09 WJCs

1993 Canada defeating a great Swedish team led by Peter Forsberg on way to a Gold Medal thanks to many but especially Manny Legace,

If Olympics count, its 1980 for me, obviously.

If just Juniors, it's Carlson. But Eberle's performance over two years was incredible.
